I race a couple years back. Good crew, depending on weather we had 5 to 10 racers? I was slooooow on my GS, low 1:30s and I got slaughtered by the top couple of guys. Guessing they could do low 1:20s?
I got my revenge in the rain though. :D

Yeah they require containment belly pans for all bikes. No exceptions. Does your hawk have any engine work?

This place is deserted.
Late entry was only $100. They must have thought everyone was going to need a transponder

All this talk makes me want to throw my stock motor in the hawk frame. Damn you all :)
This class is MEANT for HAWKS....
Period 4 Formula 3
The race was actually Formula 4. I'm still a little:confused: about it.
But I race, I win.
ARE YOU KIDDING ME

This is supposed to contain 3 quarts of fluid.
I think the USCRA requirements just say the crankcase contents, and at least he has the diaper in there? But yeah... my cake pan was a better setup.

I suppose USD forks and radial brakes aren't period huh?
Thanks for coming out and playing with us Gino. It was good to chat with you and to have you make fun of me for the bunny hop. I will break the habit!! Hope to see you again at another USCRA event this year!
there was a Gs 500 with USD legs?????
Considering the Belly pans. I don't think there would be anything to worry about if the forks are right side up or upside down.
All Hawkers should race in any modification.
Lets name them all.

It is a relaxed event the can foster growth.
Congrats on the 2 and 3rd. Just nail down that first lap and you will be fighting the the lead dog position. BTW I think you are going to need to change your Race # on your sig.
USD forks are most certainly period, quite a few MXers had them in 89 already. I'll document the crap out of that if needed. I haven't found references for radial calipers or masters though.
Edit: 2001 is the earliest reference to radial mount motorcycle calipers I can find. Cars were sporting them WAY earlier though... In 83 AP had a Buell style rim mounted brake system if you want to go that route. :D Radial masters date back to 83/84 when Brembo and Cagiva were playing with them on GP machines so no worries there.
That said, Gino's correct, there is a GS500F sporting USD forks (Don't remember which brake system) running Formula EX, and no one ever questioned my radial master on my GS500E when I ran the same class.
I would go if it was on a weekend. Wana come race moto with us this weekend gino??
Scott I got a complete stock motor I'll trade ya...
I have a set of cams, they need to be repaired though. Yours if you want them.
