Anyone here have any comments, positive or negative, about Vanson's roadracing gloves? I'm between them and the Helds, the Vansons are $180 I think the Helds are around $300+?? I checked them out this morning at Vanson, they look good and Vanson has a great rep but I don't know if I see many people using their gloves. Not so much fit and finish I'm interested in but how they hold up to crashing/dragging on the asphalt....
i have a pair of these: http://www.vansonleathers.com/detail.aspx?ID=190
i have yet to crash in them, but they are ultra comfy once they break in. they vent alright as well. they had a pair of the slow colored ones (yellow) in their bargain bin the last time i was there, so i paid nothing for them. i don't know that i'd drop 180 on them. i think, for that kind of $$, there are lots of different feature packed gloves out there. that's all i got right now.

I have yet to see anyone racing wearing their gloves. It is my understanding as they are no where near the quality of held

Yeah I was honestly leaning towards the Held, but hoping the V's would be an option. If for no other reason than Vanson is 15 mins from my house and I have no idea (seacoast?) where I can go to try on the Helds...
or motomarket.

I've crashed in my Held Titans, a wonderful superman off the back of a vintage sidecar for maximum slide time... wore through the sharkskin, but that was IT for glove damage, and absolutely no damage to my hands.
I have the vanson gloves that they put their name on (dont make) the ones with the carbon knuckles. They have been fine in two lowsides but I didnt drag my hands a lot. I will say that the stitching on them has been coming apart for a while.
But since they didnt make them in-house, I really cant expect vanson quality.

I love Vanson MADE leathers.
I did wear the gloves with their name on it once.
The glove "they" used to make suck a bag of cocks. The gloves that now have their name on suck an even bigger bag of cocks.
Thanks Tricky Mike I love that saying.

That is a good question. Tricky can you answer this?

I have a pair, went down at about 85 mph and they held up perfectly. It was a hard slam then a long slide. Some scuffs but no issues with seams letting go. I for one like em. I actually bought a second pair as back up. Before this I wore Sidi Pentas and those were amazing gloves too - but much more costly.
the answer is (Pi*the mass of the gloves in question)-4/alpaca cock. (there is a 12% margin of error, of course, as is customary with all alpaca based calculations). If you have to ask what the numerical value of alpaca cock is you have no business on deez internutz and should promptly fuck straight off. I didn't bother proving it, but I believe the answer is nine. Vanson gloves suck nine dry sandpaper cocks (+/-12%). And Dennis likes them. God save the queen.
I am pretty sure they do not make their gloves so I would not expect their quality(especially at that price).
