Even if it hasn't, it sure looks good (and fast) doing it.

How dare you get Corser confused with my uber-man-crush Bayliss.
Shame on you.

I know, I know. I think its because I was in the middle of checking season stats on the RSV4 and the S1000RR when I wrote that, so Corser's name was bouncing around in my noggin.

Definetley one of the best seasons WSBK has ever had. I can't wait for the Speed coverage so I'll be up before Dawn to watch it live via proxy.

I could never get the proxy thing to work.

Re: WSBK Portugal ***practice times + discussion, no race spoliers***
I'd be interested in knowing how to do this as well....

Re: WSBK Portugal ***practice times + discussion, no race spoliers***
Ask and yee shall recieve:
Here's how to watch it live through a proxy server, essentially you're tricking their site into thinking you're accessing the site from a different country.
Set your alarm for 5:15 am, get up and start some coffee as Portugal is 5 hours ahead of us.
First open this: http://www.worldsbk.com/country.html it's the blocked country list.
Second, open this to get a proxy list: http://www.proxy4free.com/page1.html
Now it gets fun.. Find a country on the proxy list NOT on the wsbk blocked list from above. My Favs are Vietnam, Brazil, Argentina or any country that has zero racing interest. STAY AWAY from the China and russian proxys as they tend to be sniffers.
**THIS IS FOR EXPLORER 7-8** You're on your own with anything else**
1. Copy the IP address from the left column and remember the port.
2. On the Tools menu in Internet Explorer, click Internet Options, click the Connections tab, and then click LAN Settings.
3. Under Proxy server, click to select the Use a proxy server for your LAN check box.
4. In the Address box, paste the IP address of the proxy server.
5. In the Port box, type the port number that is used by the proxy server for client connections (by default, 8080).
Click OK to close the LAN Settings dialog box.
Click OK again to close the Internet Options dialog box.
Whan that's done, you're set to watch the races LIVE!!! by going here:
http://www.worldsbk.com/en/sbk-live.html
If it's slow or won't load, get a new proxy # and repeat the steps above till it works.
You may be asked to download a media player plug in, get it.
Blue screen saying you can watch superpole live on Sat and all races on sunday.. THIS IS GOOD as it means your proxy is working! The feed starts about 20 minutes before the actual race.
This will be one of the most watched races so i'd expect some technical difficulties getting onto the site as they run races better than streaming video servers. If that's the case, goto bed and watch it later.
Superstock 1000 is at 4:40 am
Race 1 is at 6 am our time
Supersport is at 7:25 am
Superstock 600 is at 8:30 am
Race 2 is at 9:30 am
Enjoy!!
IF you don't want to get up at the crack of dawn.. you can still watch the races on WSBKTV for 7 days after the race. Starting Sunday night they'll have all the weekends races up.
FYI.. they broadcast the supersport races in italian.

ditto.
if ben wins, haga needs 3rd or better to maintain the points lead into race 2. if spies takes 2nd, haga needs 6th or better to at least be tied heading in to race 2. byrne, rea, fabrizio and biaggi are the real wrenches that can change a lot of this race in my opinion.
O/T in other news alex, saw a rumor that MJ could be providing *some* financial backing to ben for his wildcard GP ride this year??? true or not, would michael really consider throwing his hat into the GP circus? i'm just speculating but i don't think he could stand being a bench player, but i'm guessing he doesn't really have the $$$ to be as influential as he would like to be. makes me think the rumor is false, but part of me thinks he would be willing to jump in for an american

Re: WSBK Portugal ***practice times + discussion, no race spoliers***
The MJ team is working hard on maintaining a 2-rider AMA team next year, so no, a GP team isn't happening anytime soon.
Signing Ben Spies as a MJ athlete (like Ray Allen or Derek Jeter) is something else entirely.
