As some of you know I just picked up my 1199S. It's being stored in a shed(which is kind of a pos). So I'd still like to cover it inside the shed. My last cover seemed a little coarse. It never left scratches but it didn't seem as soft as I'd like it to be. It will never be used as a rain cover. As of lately I've just used a soft blanket. Any suggestions?
I use a Geza and a Tour Master full cover, also the Geza I bought in 1996 for my first GSXR.

I appreciate the suggestions. I'll look these up tonight. Feel free to keep the ideas going.
Damn! only $355!
Kidding aside, I'd rather continue to use some sort of sheet than spend that on a simple dust cover. Thanks for the research though!
The WeatherAll is more in the price range I'm looking for. The Tour Master's low price makes me a little hesitant on quality. Then again it's for indoor use so...
Guess I'll have to think about it.
Thanks guys!
Both are good things to consider.
Thanks again guys
I've used solomotoparts a few times and definitely got good prices and service. Still haven't had a to pick up a cover. I'll try solo this wknd.

I see no value in spending a lot for a cover that will be used indoors. I have a Autozone special. I think it was $20. Before that I used an old bed sheet and was happy. The Autozone cover does go on a little easier and not come off as easy when I brush the bike walking past it.
But then I ride a (relatively) cheap, fugly, pre-scratched motorcycle.
Damn, putting that bike in a crappy shed... blasphemy. Spend a few thousand and have a real shed built... just for it.
I use to back in the day. If I didn't live in a split level now I'd be all about it.
I agree that Dowco make some great quality covers, you can find them fairly cheap on Amazon.com
I have the Dowco WeatherAll Plus. It has a liner front and back. It's on the V-Strom 9 months a year, outdoors, and it's five years old. On their website they have a fitment guide.
For indoor use I'd be inclined to head to Joblots or eBay for a couple of fleece blankets.
It's 2 minutes for any capable adult.
Congrats on the new 1199 Panigale. Mine should be in within the next week or two. As for bike covers, I've used an oversized American flag since the days of my 998S Bostrom. It's soft (duck canvas/cotton), heavy duty, and breathable (so no moisture collects underneath, even if you cover your bike after a damp ride). Not sure what the cost was since it was a gift from a neighbor, but not nearly as expensive as prices listed for other covers.
