Got 15k Miles out of my tires (Michelin Pilot Road 2s)

This is the second time I've gotten this kind of mileage out of this brand/model of tire, first on my Yamaha FZ6 and now on my Triumph Street Triple R. To be honest, there was plenty of tread left on the tires, but I picked up a nail in the rear tire, so I thought they didn't have enough tread to warrant patching. Anybody else get 15+k miles out of these tires before? Or the Pilot Road 3's?

I had over 10k on a set of Pilot Powers (they could have been 2Ct's but I'm not sure) about 6 years ago on my old 929. still had tons of life left but the bike was totaled.

Already have 7k on my VFR and ton of tread left. 5k on the monster's tires and same even after one track day. I know what I'll be buying next!

This is on an sv1000k that I commute 63 miles a day and thoroughly abuse on the weekends. I am fucking amazed by these tires.

With some where from 12-15k my rear is coming up on the wear bars.

I took some Pilot Powers off my SV at 11k and replaced them with Pilot Road 2s. Now I have 24k+ and they look like I have plenty of life left.

Good to hear that much out of the PR2's on .

I'm waiting on back ordered pirelli angel st's. Hoping for the same mileage on my street triple with sport touring tires.

I have seen no wear on my 2ct's in 2500mi. This on a bike that flattened a pair of DCIII's in 3200mi

12k out of the stock Bridgestone Trail Wings. I expect at least 15k out of the PR3's I replaced them with.

I figure my 650 is easier on tires than the litter bikes. So far it has been easier on them than the 1200 I replaced it with.

I just installed a set of 2CTs for the July 30 Bomo. I probably have about 150 miles of street riding since then, and 2 full track days. I'm curious how they'll wear since I'm doing another track day in a week with them.

not really. I was going through Pilot powers and PP 2CTs in the rear about every 5-6K, when i first started riding it would last for 8-10K

It's all in how you ride and the pressure you run on sport tires.

Asshole, under 6k.
Normal, about 7-9k

I was getting 8k out of PR2's on the 650. It wasn't ridden gently. I can't imagine getting double that!

When I was touring on my RT1200, I got 12.5K on a set of Pilot Road 2s.
