Picked up the KTM from shed hibernation a few weeks ago ( no riding since last year due to lots of family stuff)
Blink code popped up after 5 miles of riding # 17 1 long 7 short
Lambda sensor cylinder 1, sensor 1 - circuit fault
Didn't know the code meaning at time so I put brand new gas 93 as I figured the old gas might have contributed to it. After 100ish miles the code still pops up.
Bike acts normal, was stored in unheated shed during winter ( no mice in shed 99%, its sealed and I didn't find any signs of mice during winter or summer or last weeks/ clean out, I havent checked bike wiring yet for any gnawing) I also still need to check air filter and oil, basics
Any experience with this code? Going to post in ADV rider and KTM forums next.
bike has some farkles installed by the previous owner, has KTM's power up kit, with the exception of the mid
pipe which was back ordered at the time. That (Mid Pipe) was fabricated
by Pete, the owner of the bike ( Razees mechanic back in the day). The KTM kit included the Air Box, High
Flow Air filter, Leo Vince Muffler and Performance Cam Shaft. It has
also been remapped. The power up kit was installed at approximately
3,000 mile
Also has an O2 mod https://www.kevmod.com.au/ which helped a bit with slower speed throttle response.
hmmmm......
Try removing the O2 mod before doing anything else. I've seen a decent number of bad Rottweiler O2 dongles on the 1x90's.
2023 KTM 890 Adventure R
I had this on my KTM 500 EXCf, it ended up my booster plug was toast. I removed it and the code went way, I had to fiddle with the 02 delete a little too, ran it with it, then I was able to remove it again with success. I went to a GET ECU at that point.
I'm back at this
Code is still throwing
1 long 7 short
Lambda sensor cylinder 1, sensor 1 - circuit fault
Ordered a new 02nsensor
Discovered this 02 mod wasn't even plugged in
So obviously it's not affecting this or causing this issue. Unless PO remove before sale and after 600 miles it the error popped up
So walk me like a 2nd grader here, what do I need to do ? Beside replace 02 sensor and clear code
How did u find it was the booster plug ? What trouble shooting steps are there to follow
And bigger question will.thos impact the bike ? As I havent seen any performance issues
hmmmm......
got no help, but i'm going to be picking up my 690 from the shop this week, i'll ask if they have any info on that particular code/issue.
hmmmm......
