    Bike won’t start

So like the moron that I am, I thought I’d ‘lighten’ up my race bike by removing wiring from previous turn signals, brake lights, etc by cutting the wires with the battery still plugged into everything and the key in the ignition (off position). As I went to cut a wire, I saw a huge spark from the area around the key and now the bike only clicks repeatedly when I hit the ignition (engine won’t turn over).
Even after reconnecting the cut wires still no luck.

The only fuses I could find were for all of the stuff that’s already unplugged from the bike (radiator fan, abs, lights, horn) and all fuses were intact.

Am I f#$ked? It’s a 2019 ninja 650. And now everyone knows who this moron is too!

There should be more fuses: fuel pump, ECU, starter etc. Some of them will be quite large. I'd look for them first...

There's a starter relay under the seat, I believe too. A big square box.

Check the wires to the ignition switch since it sparked there, if burnt new switch.. Does the fuel pump chick on? Main fuse. What wire was cut?

If it is like my 2007 Ninja 650 the main starter fuse is behind a small cover on the side of the bike near the battery box. There is one or two 30A fuses there that may have blown.

Main fuses (30A) are intact too. There is a click click click, but no starter. One of the wires for a brake light

Sounds like the starter relay to me.

    Re: Bike won’t start

First: When you turn the ignition on - what exactly happens? Lights & instrumentation come alive as normal? Fuel pump prime?

Second: When you thumb the starter button, exactly WHERE is the clicking coming from?

Third: Do you have a clutch position switch? Is it working properly? Bike in Neutral, kickstand up, clutch squeezed/released? The fact that you hear clicking when you're thumbing the starter makes me think it's not any of these, but it's worth asking... When something is slightly off like this we get distracted from the obvious safety features. (My girlfriend called me up a couple weeks ago with the same kinda problem... her friend's bike wouldn't start, they tried jumping it with a jump pack... yeah, it was just in 1st gear. They put it in neutral, started fine under its own power.)

Worst comes to worse, research how to ditch the ignition entirely (more weight reduction) and go keyless... power everything through the kill switch.

Sounds above my pay grade. I’ll likely make things worse at this point. Good point on keyless

if you have no fuel pump, and it just clicks, suspect the ECU/anti-theft went bad. you need to pay for a wiring manual or pay the diagnostic fee for someone else
