Sounds like a battery connection is loose.

yup... loose battery connection or weak/dying battery. The clicking is most likely the starter solenoid. The current isn't strong enough to keep the solenoid engaged so it's bouncing back & forth between connected & disconnected.

try cleaning your connections and making sure they are tight first. Unless you go to walmat, batteries are about $100 +/-

pick up a battery tender/charger while you're at it if you don't have one already.

Check battery fluid levels if it's a wet cell type.
A battery tender or trickle charger is ideal for charging a weak battery.

It is likely a dead/weak battery.

    Re: BIKE WONT START

If you jump it as in booster cables and it starts fine then battery

If you find someone with a volt meter then check for charge etx
espescially that your not overcharging "cooking" the battery while its running

When you rev or idle does the headlight get brighter ?

If that's the case, once ya got it running, test the charging voltage. If your alternator is GOOD, it oughtta be feeding a typical 12.8-14.5 or 15VDC to the battery, which will keep a GOOD battery charged. If your connections are good, clean, tight, and gooed against corrosion and it STILL won't start the bike, buy a new battery. If you ain't gittin charging voltage, yer scrood. Me, I'd rather it was a bad battery, but if it turns out the battery is bad, alternator good, don't ride around by jump-starting the bike, it's hard on the alternator to constantly be trying to keep up with a dead battery..

    Ya hear me???
