Well, if you were at the track this weekend, we've probably gone over this, but nothing was solved.
So all weekend, I was dealing with some strange brake problems. The brakes would be 100% going into the bowl, by the time I made it to 9, when I touched the brakes, the lever would come all the way to the bar, then the next pull would be 100% again. This would ONLY happen in turn 9, and it was at least 75% of the laps. It got to the point I was purposely touching the brake earlier to reset the pads before I needed to actually scrub some speed. (and yes, I know Im a big pussy for braking in 9, thats something no one can help me with) We changed the master and it was still happening, so its not the master. The first thought everyone comes up with is a bent rotor, but its the exact same corner every time. Never had much of a problem anywhere else. The next thought is being leaned over, hitting the bumps and stuff, but with the chicanes you flick the bike around a lot more, and never had a problem into 3 (thank god). So I dunno, I have no other guesses. Anyone have any guesses or better yet, solutions?
Check the rotor for being warped and the wheel for play. Either one of those could move your brake pads out enough that you need an extra pump of the lever to get them back to a point that one pull will squeeze them. Also check the caliper pins (if it has a floating caliper) and make sure the caliper will move as it is supposed to.
Turn 9 is possessed... That's the only answer.

Yea I was going to say wheel play or something like that too, but even that doesn't make much sense if T9 was the only corner. Might it have something to do with the head shake over T8?
quit braking in T9 anyway...
Richie, this is basically what my vmail said too.. wheel shake.
Are your spacers correct? Wheel bearings ok?

With the bike on a stand and the forks secure. ( maybe someone holding them steady ) Grab the front of the wheel, shake and make sure there is no movement. Aside from rotating on the axle there should be no wiggle, shimmy, sideways movement at all. EVEN a very little movement is enough to walk the disk pucks back into the caliper.
I do not see how a wobble puts air into your brake system.
+1
it's not that air is getting in the system, the rotors are somehow pushing the pads back into the caliper.

that is some serious wobble to do that. Wow! I guess I learned a thing today. Now what? A stabilizer?
It's not the bad wobble that's the problem. The wobble is what is allowing the problem to be seen. It should be able to wobble and not do this. There is a bad part that is allowing the wobble to torque or shake a part that creates a non linear spin of the rotor therefore pushing towards the pads and causing the piston to retract into the caliper.
The wobble is just the catalyst, get rid of the wobble the problem would still remain.

I can resist everything but Pete's mom.
Rotors float ? so check attachment hardware.
Don't do anything until you have cleaned the f out of them with rags and brake clean
Even clean then lightly break the surface of pads and rotors with emery etc swirl.
Flush the brake fluid throug the system if it has high water content it can boil then condense woooo wooo woooo
Glen Beck is John the Baptist
Also Note that the Rotor and Caliper are both brand new.
