    chain question

the falco came back with clean bill of health for her motor... Charles thinks the clamp was probably just bad on the return line that came off...
The vibration however... seems my chain has a misbehaving link or two. so...

i was looking at the Motorcycle Acc Wharehouses DID's.. i have read that i need a 120 link chain, Does that number include the master link? (it seems like an awful lot of links too, i was expecting something around 110!? )

the web site lists a rivot type and clip type master link.... is there a benefit of one over the other... excluding the fact i dont have a chain riveter or a break. ( this could be a good excuse to get a set of chain tools )

    chain question

some people have good luck with the master link type either use a dab of RTV to seal it some do a saftey wire thing.

I personally like the rivet type, and with a little intuition, you can find alternatives to buying that 130 dollar tool to peen the pins over...notice the word "Peen" like in Ball peen hammer......(2 of them)
Like rest one on the back side of the link and lightly smack it with the other on the front side..works quite well for a PO Boy. Works better with 2 people doing it though....Or if you happen to know someone in the machine shop trade can make a nice tool for short cash...(something else I got on the back burner.....)

It's part of my "Back Burner" list along with the rearsets, rims, Triple clamps, and anything you guys want me to build for ya...

Right now....There is absolutely no time to do this stuff...
