I have a zx11 2001.. I have a rapid clicking noise coming from under the seat tank area.. It is coming from a round cylinder with vacuum lines attached to it.. May be a noob question but is it supposed to click like that.. The clicking you can hear over the idle and is about three times a second..
You sure you're not talking about the fuel pump?
You got a pic?
Hmm, sounds like it could be the kawasaki KLEEN system? If so, there are two air lines attached to the valve cover and one going to the airbox. It recirculates exhaust gas to attempt to burn some of the unburnt fuel. If so, there are reed valves in the valve cover, you may be hearing them..
I have to pull the tank for a picture.. Its metal and the size of about half a coke can.. Ill try to get some pictures up..
Could it be your cam chain tensioner?

it sounds like an emissions control vacuum solenoid to me...

Have you parked near an Al-Queda cell hideout lately (ie: mountainous region with caves). If youve been tagged as an infidel you may not want to touch that.
When I start my KTM in the morning, rules are broken. Its inevitable...
