Hey, I never said anything bad about Gixxahz in this thread. But if you really want me to, my base model Duc makes more TQ at 5K than his bike does at peak. You happy now? "Dance monkey, DANCE!!!!!":mope:

well i have -1/+2 gearing, so i have decient acceleration on the bike too. keep in mind it's an 02 600 bike. as far as the pipe contest, i never said i'm not up for the pepsi challenge. i'm just saying it's quieter, which sounds better. not as high pitched as it was before

No shit. It should. It's 150cc larger. And the pistions are twice as big...
And think twice before you get into the HP or TQ pissing contest. You would literally need TWO of your motors to play that game with me...

I never said the bike didn't move right along, well I never said it didn't and be serious about it. So what if it an '02 600cc? Mine is a '99 748cc. Name the time and the place as far as the sound comp goes. I don't have a problem with high pitch sound with my bike. When will you Jap guys learn that twins sound better.....well except for Harley's:spit:

Going by your logic I should be making a lot more HP than him just because I have more displacement. There is a lot more to making power than just how big your motor is. It does make a difference but it isn't everything.

Wouldn't surprise me if I would need two of my motors against you. But when did I say anything about your bike:confused:
EDIT:

Aren't Gixxahz 599cc? That would make my bike 147cc larger, not 150cc :twofinger:lol:

Chris I want you to try this excersice for me. It may take you a while, but I'm confident you'll be able to accomplish it. "Jim you put some work in the bike, good job". Won't even need to compliment the bike itself.
Even the gay kid with the 748 managed to toss one in the thread.

Re: The (not so) Great Gixxer Rebuild
One issue we had was the new all ballz tapered roller bearings are just a tad taller than the stockers. This means that the steering damper mount is holding on by 3 or 4 threads instead of 7 or 8. not a huge deal, but worth noting.
I just found out I can change to a heavier oil in the stock steering damper on my 08 gixxer. It's a rebuildable damper. I'll be saving $400 on buying a new one. Woohoo! Just empty out the 5 wt and replace with 15 wt. Noice!

your 08 model isn't adjustable though, right?

Yep, electronically adjustable. It's like the honda HESD system. more speed, more damping.

Oh, wow. I did not know this. Wow.
Come to MSF, young padawan. Your chromey ways will be but a mere memory.
Knees will be dragged and tracks will be ridden.
I will show you the way, Jedi.

Re: The (not so) Great Gixxer Rebuild
Degs offered a few advanced courses for me, but my co-workers all bailed on multiple occasions. then i gave up & lost interest, but i do have a license.

Re: The (not so) Great Gixxer Rebuild
Nice work Jim.
Feels great when you accomplish your mission, eh?
Degs is the best!
