Got a pair of Vesrah K5 004 HH E1, Vesrah K5 006 HH J1, and Galfers 002412 ready to be install in one of my R6. Which ones are OEM? Which is the better set of front pads?

I doubt either are OEM. and all those numbers are weird, where are you getting them?

Those numbers are stamped on the back of the front brake pads themselves! Does this make sense to anyone? Maybe I'll try the R6 forum.
I'm gonna try calling Vesrah & Galfers tomorrow to see if I can get more info.
I like the Vesrah's better than any other pad..... and those are there HH pad and the Galflers no idea but they might bite Diff.

Vesrah's are the way to go....I've never found a better brake pad.
I really liked my Vesrah RJL's, but unfortunately they don't make the SRJL's for the SV.
Went with the Carbon Lorraine C59's and I think they edged out the RJL's. CL just came out with the C60's so I'm gonna give those a shot next year.

So... serious question after reading these responses...
am I really short changing myself by running the EBC HH pads (for the sole reason of that's what my local shop stocks)?

Meh... I ran those for a while, first on my EX then on the SV for a couple seasons before making the switch to Vesrah then Carbon Lorraine. The EBC's aren't horrible... They're certainly serviceable but I think there are better options out there.

EBC's work OK...but I used to warp the backing plates all the time causing the bike to lose brake feel and the lever to get mushy. With Vesrah (I use XX and Super RJL) I get the feel that I like, long pad life and consistency all the way to the end.
What am I missing out on?
I used to run them on the SV and never had an issue in getting it to slow down. (wasn't really difficult... it wasn't going that fast to begin with).
Now on the 600... the game changes. That track seems so much smaller when riding a 100+hp bike. Again, I'm running the EBCs... and they react exactly like I'm used to. But I also don't have any other point of reference. And I doing myself a dis-service? Could I be missing out on a whole bunch of "WHOH"? Could my braking life actually become easier?

Well give another brand a try & find out for yourself. Maybe you'll like the EBC's better, I don't know.
I just felt as though I had more control with Vesrah RJLs than the EBCs. A little more stopping power and a little less fade. And the CLs feel like they're one more step above the RJLs.
Haven't tried the Galfers, though I do rock their rotors, their superbike lines & an Accossato master cylinder.

Eric, I'd been away from racing for 5 years before returning for Round 7. On Saturday (dry) I was fighting to break into 23's. Now, don't get me wrong... I know where and how I'm going to come up with a pile of time out on the track. I was able to identify where some of my deficiencies are. But this is the first time I've really given thought to my pads.
I guess my question is: Can I get a noticeable benefit, right now, by switching brake pads? Should I just cash out the EBCs that now have one day of open practice, and one weekend of racing? Or should I just leave them on there until the time comes to replace the pads and upgrade at that time?

If you know what you need to do to drop time and it doesn't revolve around braking, then I'd finish off your EBC's and maybe try something different when they're gone.

I'm with Pete....replace your EBC's with an upgrade when it's time.

I used performance fiction and vesrah. Liked both of them. Preferred the performance fiction just because I like a more linear pad with less initial bite.
