Yes. If this one goes off as planned, I'd like to hold more. I'd also like to do a winterizing thing toward the end of the season too...Quote:

I could also arrange to do a one-on-one, I'm sure...
'Course, we'd ask for a small donation to the site in exchange... :D
Did we say we were doing coolant? I already have an oil filter, oil, and plugs...need to go to Autozone at lunch to pick up some DOT4 and coolant if we're gonna flush it. But if we're not gonna get to it I don't want to waste the space in my tank bag. I also need to lube my chain...what do you suggest using for that? Service Manual says to use 10w-30 motor oil, but that seems weird to me...
sounds about right.. the service manual says 10w40 for my F3.
how many quarts of oil do I4 600cc bikes normally take anyways? my manual doesn't say.
IMO do not use motor oil on you chain. Pick up some chain wax for it.Quote:

Also guys my drive way has a bunch of sand on the pavement so becareful when you pull in.
I got the oil and filter from my dealership, and they said 3 quarts. I came home and checked my manual, and it says 3.1. Dickheads.Quote:

-Most bikes'll take a bit less than 4 quarts when changing the oil AND filter...
-Use chain wax. I have some, just not sure how much I have left. If someone wantsta/can grab a can and bring it up, feel free. You should have some anyway...
-I doubt we'll have time to actually flush out cooling systems. We will cover it in detail though. It's pretty straight forward and we'll have everybody's plastic off so it'll be extrememly easy to comprehend. Even the most mechanically challenged will understand once we show you...
I have a very very small amount of chain wax left. I lubed the shit outta my chain last week when I went over it and tightend every screw and washed and waxed it. Someone is more than welcome to use it as long as I remember to bring it. Now where are those damn bungee cords I need?Quote:

Total amount: 3.7 US Qts
Periodic Oil Change: 2.7 US Qts
With Oil Filter Replacement: 3.1 US Qts
So is it 3.7 or 3.1?
3.1
3.7 is if you suck all the oil out of you're engine so it is completely dry.
Just came back from my lunchbreak. Went to GBM and got myself:
- a 3.7qt (i think) jug of 10w40 motor oil and a seperate 1qt bottle just incase.. found in manual that my bike takes 3.9qt at oil filter change just like Buddha said
- oil filter
- 4 NGK plugs (not sure if we're gonna cover those but i gots 'em anyways)
i also picked up some coolant and plan to do a flush in the near future.
how are you guys carrying all this crap up? i think i'm gonna have to throw some in my backpack. i hate wearing a backpack. :( :D
bring 4 Qts.Quote:

I would have linked you to Brockton Cycle who was selling them for $59.95, but it appears they are out of stock. But this bag is the tits.
A great big F-U to the Forrest-Gump-I'm-Running-Jenny! ass at A-1 Powersports in Manchester who told me, verbatim, "three oughta do it!"Quote:

Anyone who's seen this sasquatch would understand the Gump reference.
Looks like I'm stopping back by there tonight. Or will any old 20w-40 work in combination with the 3qts of Yamalube I got?
I dont care what you use for oil as long as its that same brand. So yes you need to go back and pick up one more qt of oil.Quote:

Oh yeah.
You should have no problems holding all your stuff. And speaking of this bag...only this week did I discover the backpack straps AND the rain cover inside the little zipper on the magnet piece. And I've had this bag for how long?
best tank bag for the money EVARRRR
A-1 sucks, plain & simple. As do most dealerships...Quote:

Alright guys, see you in the morning.. I was hoping to have Faster for everyone but it was the ONE Netflix DVD that wasn't delivered today. :chair:
It will probably get to my house tomorrow. Buddhaman, could you PM me your phone # incase I have any problems getting to your place? Doesn't sound like I will, but just incase.
Who's bringing the bingo sticks? :smoker
Okay lets so I have 4 liters of overpriced oil, one overpriced filter and some extra cheap brake fluid cause they messed up on the price!
I haven't seen or heard a weather report for tomorrow. But if it's supposed to be hot & humid again, ya'll might wanna bring some shorts to change into...
Looks like a high of 83, 66% humidity, chance of rain 10%.
