Does anybody own or have access to the tool for tightening the swingarm lock nut on the RC51, also the 1000rr if my research has not failed me. Honda part number is 07YMA-MCFA100.
If anybody can help me get my hands on this thing it will not go unnoticed.
Thanks!
p.s. please no recommendations to cut a socket and use that as many of the forums recommend.
p.s. . . . why not? lol

Because I think that's the half-ass way to do it. It's fine for taking the lock nut off, but when re-installing you need to verify that the inside adjusters remain at the specified torque while tightening the outer lock nut. If you use the socket method to re-install your ignoring what i believe to be a very important torque setting on the swingarm adjusters. That's why! lol
your over thinking things . . . . but ok have fun with that . . . good luck

as long as you cut it properly it should come out looking exactly like the tool that you would buy so i'm not sure how it would differ from the tool you would buy.
Is this the actual part or does it look different?
If that's the actual part then it's not gonna do anything that a sliced up sprocket can't do... except keep more money from escaping your pocket.
Even if the actual part looks different and somehow allows you to make sure the torque on the swingarm adjusters doesn't change, torquing down that lock nut after torquing the swingarm adjusters isn't going to (or at least shouldn't) change the torque on the swingarm adjusters.... at least not the way I'm picturing it...
But that's just an educated guess.... snap some pics so I know I'm not talkin outta my ace.

That is the tool I am trying to avoid, which I could make from a socket. The Honda tool has an offset for the torque wrench while the body of the tool is open to hold the inner adjuster. The lock nut calls for 47lbft while the adjuster is 11lbft, it could move.
Trust me I've thought this through a lot. I really just wanted to see if somebody has access to the Honda tool.

I know what you need, why you need it and I think I have one. The torque is different because of the offset and the hole in the middle allows you to hold the pivot while torquing. I'll check at home and mail it to you if I have it. Stand by.

Way too much.
I have 3 (or 4?) of these spanner nuts on my CBR and have never torqued them to specification. The bike's been apart on a few occasions and has yet to fall to pieces.
All it needs is a good firm tightening....nothing crazy. Good'n'snug will do it and a home made spanner socket is perfectly fine to use.

I have part number 07908-468003. It's for an F4i but I'm willing to bet there's a good chance it's the same thing for the rc51.
