Re: Rear Cylinder firing off??? and RPM's slow to fall
I bet this would have been easier if the was a local shop that would let you work on your bike in there space. Hum.... maybe someone should open one up. :poke: Doc

I just got Nuethunder (from DOC) running like a top last night.
Not Timing, Just carbs.
Make sure you good good flow from all ports. Gas sitting around for a year can easily plug up things.
Clear jets
Clear Carb filters
Smooth action on the float bowl. Before buttoning it up.
A/F 2.5 turns out
E clip in the middle on the needle
Make sure the diaphragm is correctly seated! You will have to push up the diaphragm from the needle side so the diaphragm rubber in concave. Make sure the rubber lip is completely in the groove all the way around.
8"-9" diaphragm spring!

Re: Rear Cylinder firing off??? and RPM's slow to fall
Clogged 45's replaced with clean 42's, Funky short spring in rear cylinder replaced with stock stretched spring. Screws to 3 turns out. Float needles cleaned and floats eyeballed...

 u DOC
Re: Rear Cylinder firing off??? and RPM's slow to fall
For the record I showed Jason how to work the carbs ONCE and only once. (My bad)
He missed some stuff. I found it. Case closed. :D

My Mother hit me ONCE ..... ONCE :shredder:
Re: Rear Cylinder firing off??? and RPM's slow to fall
so what doc said up above. now that the carbs are cleaned the right way, its good to go. rear cylinder is firing great, starts up so much easier now and rpm's drop like they should.
spent the day trying to button everything up. changed the oil, doc fixed/cleaned the carbs, fit the tail and tail support was fabbed up quickly by me. checked the front brakes and bled again, bought some stuff for the front number plate, and lastly, got it out of doc's hawk shop and dropped it off at my wife's friends place to have the rear frame tab welded for the rearset.
track-bound in 4 days
