    Question ZX6 slips in 2nd gear

    I am posting this for a friend:

    94 ZX6 slips in second gear..going from 1st to 2nd..it goes into second but then slips..causing the rpms to jump and the bike to lurch...

    he has had the chain tightned...

    anyone else heard of this problem in the ZX's?

    ZX6 slips in 2nd gear

    Yep. ZX6E's have a tendency to bend shift forks, causing a 2nd gear popout problem. Search usenet, bunch of posts about that. Pops back into neutral, right?

    ZX6 slips in 2nd gear

    I'm not sure if it goes back into netural or just has trouble in 2nd..i'll have to ask my friend...

    and where do you want me to search?
