Came into this weekend, not knowing what to expect. Major suspension changes and some freshly cleaned clutch plates were in order. The suspension changes made the bike hardly recognizable. On top of that it was forcing me to use muscles I hadn’t used in quite some time. After a little practice the bike started to feel okay.
Race #4 (Middleweight Superbike)
Clutch completely fails on the start. I quickly work to second and find myself chasing Dave on the 535 RSP bike. I make a move on going into Turn 1 on the second lap and all is well. I put my head down and ran my own race. Best time: 1:16.5 (I Believe) Finish: 1st
Race #13 (Middleweight Grand Prix)
Clutch fails on the start again. Come out somewhere in fourth or fifth. After about a lap and a half I found myself in the lead. For about half the race I noticed my gap to Dave from RSP stopped growing and he was holding pace. We catch the back half of the expert field and I quickly start working my way through. A few laps go by and I look back to see absolutely nobody??? Apparently Dave and an expert rider collided. Best Lap: 1:16.253 Finish: 1st
Race #4 (Middlweight Supersport)
Clutch fails miserably on the first start. I come out in 7th or 8th. By turn 3, I found myself in 3rd and immediately a red flag comes out. Thank god. We re-grid, and start again. Clutch fails again, only this time, I find myself in 2nd, chasing you know who. That lasts for a few laps and I make my move. Best Lap: 1:16.223 PERSONAL BEST Finish: 1st
Race #9 (Unlimited Supersport)
I don’t normally do this race so I found myself gridded in 6D (front row, outside). I take it easy on the clutch and role the bike on the start. It still fails, but not as bad. Gridded in front of us are the HW riders. I launch past all of them and I’m gone. I drive into Turn 1 in first and never looked back. . Best Lap: 1:16.6 Finish: 1st
What’s in store… you guessed it… a new clutch. See you guys in a few weeks.
How about a BUMP?!
Way to get the wood man! Good Job!

Congrats on all the wood & PB this weekend!
Sunday Race 4 was a good one, i tried to fend you off for a while there
Awesome weekend man, and a good tow for me!
Dave, they were all good races! Your progression is impressive. First you followed, then you lead for half a lap, then a full lap, then 4 laps... Its definitely a lot of work to get out front! Hopefully a new clutch will allow me to get back to some half way decent starts. Never the less, were pushing hard and having fun.
Good job out there this weekend Kevin. I was hoping to do some good racing with you this season, but you've taken off too far ahead now. Your running great this season...keep it up!
p.s..you should bump to EX so I don't have to try and chase you!
