On Saturday morning the bike starts up first kick to go to tech, and to go out for second practice. But when it came time for super singles the bike would just not light off. I finally got it started up but was late to pregrid, so I had to start from hot pit. I got a good start and was flying down hot pit and entered onto the back straight right behind the 125's. I passed the 125's going into T3 and started the charge. I ended up catching Jerry Randall on the last lap and was gaining on him throughout the lap. I almost had him before T12, but he got a great drive out of T12A and got me on power. I ended up 3rd with a best lap time of 1:21.5.
Ultralight Superbike Trevor Arvidson got the holeshot and I was second going into T2. Second lap I got him on an inside pass in T1 and made it stick. I kept 1st the rest of the race and Trevor kept 2nd making it a 1-2 finish for the CRF's.
On Sunday I started off with GTL. I was gridded in the first row B column, so I had great position. Off the start David Dayon got a jump on me but I managed to late brake him into T1 on the outside for the holeshot. He was right on me the first few laps until we hit traffic and I gapped him out a little bit. I saw the gap and slowed up a little until he was right on me again. Again traffic slowed him down and I checked out a little. Then coming down the straight a little past half way my bike started sputtering and I lost pretty much all power. I grabbed 2 downshifts and the power came back. I took it a little easy because I had no idea what happened, but then everything seemed ok and I went hammah down. By that time David had caught back up to me on his SV and I tried to charge. On the second to last we went 2 wide in T6 and the bastard pinched me off in T7. He ran an awesome lap after the white flag of a 21 flat and I couldn't catch up. I managed 2nd place with a best lap time of 1:21.3 which matched my best for the year.
In the motard race I again grabbed the holeshot and managed to hold 1st for a lap until Trevor Chiappisi and Chauncey Viera passed me into T3. Chauncey and I had a good battle going back and forth and I had motor on him going down the straights. He had better drives out of the corners than I did, which I blame the GTL for since I was still tired. On the last lap Christian Cronin crashed Teach Mcneil's BMW in T1 which brought out the red flag. I ended up with 3rd.
Overall this was a great and successful weekend. I would like to thank all that helped out this weekend and also would like to thank my sponsors listed in my signature, as well as EMA USA. I would also like to thank Tony's Track Days for 2 awesome days on Monday and Tuesday.
