So a few weeks back my pal Keith Draghi asked if I wanted to go to Daytona and be his pit bitch. Mind you have never had a great love for Daytona but I decided that I needed to go to keep him in line. :p You can't go to Daytona and leave a perfectly good race bike at home either. So I decided to take the SV along just to say I did.
Daytona is a long drive
Keith and I tag teamed our way down. His RV handles great and hauls ass.

Here is my poor SV trying to do it's best on the high banks.
Overall this was an epic trip that I will remember for a long time. I can't thank Keith enough for inviting me along

Mah hero!
I shoulda done Daytona. Running on that banking looks insane.
Like I said: very happy you got to experience Daytona bro
So, what's it like using ALL the power?
Frankly quite boring. As you can tell I was geared a little too tall. It would be fun to see what the bike could do with a proper sized rider on it. I create so much wind drag that I could only must a top speed of 122. That's a solid 25-30 less than the fast guys in our class.

122 on an SV is nutty. You're saying the fast guys were pushing 150+?!
What is a typical AM top speed?

Huh. I have a camping recipe I call Daytona Potatoes, on account of inventing said recipe attending the Daytona 500 one year - many years ago. The Daytona Potatoes have developed a bit of a following around our little race track, it's all come full circle now.
I went to MMI I know what Im doing here chief
Nice Guys, Glad i met you! That holeshot was awesome. I was standing in pit lane.
I'm surprised you didn't run the gixxer on that track, Adam. Seems like the perfect track for it.

Also, looks like some of the new experts did good, especially Rich and Declan from Northern racing.
