I'm looking for an enclosed 5x10 trailer. The wife hates the idea of a bike hauling van so this is my next best option. I plan to use it for hauling 1 or 2 bikes and sleeping in when I get where I'm going. Anyway, the trailer must be V nose with a ramp back and a side door. I'd also like it to be aluminum and have vents and maybe a light or two. It wouldn't hurt to be set up for hauling bikes either. Getting all of those things seems to be difficult in that size. I'm ready to spend $2500 for the right trailer, new or used.
I'm in Southeast, Ma and due to work, I'd rather not travel far to get it.
I'm also open to suggestions on brand and model because I don't know enough about trailers. Also, any recommendations of shops/dealer in the area which would carry that would be appreciated.
Call 508two six four 72zero3 - JC or PM me here.
Ya might get lucky but I think it'll be awfully tough finding one for all of that for $2500.
Alu, V-nose, Ramp door, lighting? Prob lookin at 3k or more.
I'll keep my eyes peeled for ya though.

I found a new V-nose aluminum with ramp locally for 2600 without the side door. I'm kind of hoping I can get something set up already used here for that price. But, if it's going to be 3 grand than I will just have to spend it. Thanks for keeping an eye out.
Just my 2 cents but if you want to have 2 bikes and any shelfing you may want to go 6 x10 or 12

I paid 5000 for my 6x8. Pace American. Used once. Insulated package. Side vents. Ramp. Side door. LED lights. Rubber floor. Mags. Tie downs. Stainless steel counter and cabinets. Stainless fenders. Diamond plate rock guard. Etracks. Inside & outside outlets with breaker panel and overhead light. Optioned out at 10 K. I was on my way to NH to order a made in NH trailer Proline. Saw it and made a offer.
Yeah I guess in a 5x8 ya might find something in that price range, but it's gonna be pretty tight in there. If you can live with just a 5x8 then that's cool, but if you have the budget you might wanna consider something larger. Can't tell ya how happy I am having a rig that's 7.5' feet wide. Gas mileage sucks but the convinence more than makes up for it.
See if you can't take a peek in someone's 5x8 rig at the track & see if you can live w/ that.

5X8 is pretty snug... They pull easy but are cramped inside.

Well if it makes ya feel better, I'm in roughly the same shape but with an '05 Nissan Pathfinder. 134k miles, 4.0L 266 hp V6, 6k lb tow capacity.
I'm towing a 14x7.5 foot dual axle steel framed trailer... Loaded up she probably weighs close to 5k lbs. It knows it's there but she does alright.

I'm already racing Sav. Just racing Dirty. Anyway, next year or very late this year I may try my hand at the paved stuff. And, it will probably be on an ultralight.
I'm going to see what I can find in 6x10, but if that doesn't work I'll keep you in mind.
I'd be more then happy to see you my 5x8 for 3k. Just missing the side door.
Nothing a chainsaw can't handle...
I've got a friend with a black 6x12 homesteader V. All wired with a central plug. side door and cabinets. I've got pics if interested. Shoot me a pm. Oh hes asking 2k. Nice trailer!!!

I've got a 4x8 utility (open) trailer. Can't imagine going for an enclosed and not going at least 10' long.
5k tow rating should be plenty. I know people that tow 5x8 enclosed trailers with CR-Vs (aka the lifted Civic).
My FIL tows a 6x12 double axle enclosed (packed full of landscaping and contractors tools) with an I4 Tacoma.
I predict you'll be fine.
Interested to see what you turn up with.
Cool. Please share pics!
