Re: 500-600cc Street bike clear title
My wife hated the look of the pre 08 ninjas but we got a awesome deal on an 07 250 with 1200 miles never down great condition..She was so happy just to have a bike to ride with me that she didnt care about what it looked like...Now she says she sooo glad she got a 250 to learn on because it was perfect for her size (shes 5'3) and shes learning the basics...Next year I may buy her a f4i or an 600RR which she wanted, depends on how much she progesses though.

Yeah, they aren't the most attractive or aggressive looking bikes.

Re: 500-600cc Street bike clear title
Why does she care? She's going to drop it anyway.
That's why you buy a not so nice bike as your first.

I never bought into that mindset. I have never dropped a bike on the street. Prior to getting my first bike, which is the bike that I still have, I have not ridden any form of motorcycle at all. If you convince yourself that you will drop a bike, then it will probably come true. But if you convince yourself that you will not, then maybe you won't.

Re: 500-600cc Street bike clear title
Just tell your girlfriend what I told my wife.....Your being too picky for your first bike. She should just be happy with anything if she serious about riding.

I have a Ninja 650r in the sale section, a little more than you want to spend at $3500, but it's in beautiful shape and i'm always open to negotiations.

No offense to women riders out there, but there is a much greater chance that they will drop a bike than there is with a male. Males are usually taller and stronger. I bought my sister a GS500 that had been down on both sides. She dropped it on both sides and you couldn't even tell because the damage was already done. Sold it for the same thing that we bought it for too.

Nice find Johnny. I've actually read several articles in "BIKE" magazine, they have a series called "Bikes from the Past" or something like that where they find a clean example of an older bike (such as this CBR) and do a full test compared to the new gen bike.
The F2/3/4 constantly garner comments like: "It might not be quite as fast, but the power delivery and comfort make it a better every-day street bike than the latest and greatest..."

Re: 500-600cc Street bike clear title
Very true. My '93 F2 was a fantastic bike, good power, and EXTREMELY comfortable. The only issues I ever had with the bike was the rectifier(which they fixed in '94 I believe) and the cam chain tensioner which is an easy fix.

Ray, the easiest way to seach for everything on Craigslist is to use SearchTempest. (www.searchtempest.com)
You can search for bikes in a certain radius from your location and it will give you the results.
Just search for "600" in sale/wanted, motorcycles/scooters.

Re: 500-600cc Street bike clear title
THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP EVERYONE!! Im picking up a 2002 CBR F4i. with 13k miles all black and tons of aftermarkets. Great bike from what I've read and seen. Its going be Cindy's first bike so anyones negative opinions of her having a 250 can kindly keep it to themselves. You ride what you think is good for you and she will ride what she thinks shes comfy with. I say this in the least asshole way possible. Your input is welcome, but not your negative comments. But again thank you all for your help! She even said she doesnt care if I track it when I need to:teehee: :shredder:
