Since getting rid of my 650r when buying the new house, I've had a big void in my life. I need to get back out on a bike again. Looking for either cheap bikes being sold privately (sub $3000), or a place that has some decent stuff for under 10k. I'm a big boy, so has to be able to get my fat ass up to highway speed. Cheaper the better, and looking at all styles. I'd prefer to keep it cheap cause I'll be buying a new bike over the winter more than likely. Thanks for any tips.

nice bike, wrong tax bracket for me, thanks.
I posted this up the other day and I dropped the price to something a lot more fair $2995, its a beautiful bike and is something "Different" as well http://www.nestreetriders.com/forum/...0-3495-bo.html

If you go that route, I've got a Woodcraft parts list put together for racier rearsets that are cheaper to repair than OEM should the bad thing happen, I just need to order and verify fitment, will also allow for GP shift if you desire. I've also got a list somewhere of race bodywork providers for the TT.
Loun, that bike is gorgeous. Is it more of an upright position, or somethig more leaned forward? I guess I should have added the more upright the better, my back can't handle leaned forward for too long.
Kurlon, if I go this route, I'll keep you in mind for parts.
To be honest guys, I'm more expecting and ok with the older katanas, gs500's, bikes that were used for the inspiration in purple rain, that kind of stuff. I'm really only in need of it for this year.

Bryan,
Its actually in between. You sit more upright than you do leaned over which is one of the reasons I rode it so much. Its comfortable while actually still be fun. The seat on it is actually comfortable as well for rider and passenger. Where are you located? Any chance on meeting up and getting to take it for a spin?

Operation *new* bike isn't going to work at this point in time, so I'm still looking for something on the cheap for right now. Or if anyone knows of a reputable place with a good used bike selection, please pass it on. Thanks!

I'm actually going to look at a blast this week, if it doesnt work out with them i'll keep you posted. I wonder with my size if a 500cc single has enough power for me at highway speeds?
