Any racers got a decent rear shock lurking in the corner of their garage?
My son has an 05 EX250 and I am wanting to stiffen up the suspension a little to improve handling. He is only about 110lbs so I don't need aftermarket stuff.
Doesn't have to be pretty as long as it is functional. Cheap is the key!!
Massive thanks to Christian for hooking me up with fork springs!!![]()

I read online that the EX500 springs fit, I pasted the article below.
If you are reasonably lightweight (check the Race Tech calculator) the Ninja 500 front fork springs from '94 and newer bikes might stiffen up your front end quite nicely for a bit less than the Racetech springs. The spring rate for these is .585 kg/mm (stock is .440); stiffer than stock, less than what the aftermarket companies usually make. EX500 springs are 28 mm diameter and 435mm relaxed length. Part number is 44026-1555, and they cost $33 each from Ron Ayers. So for $66, you get a much better front end feel.
I will check the tube diameter.

Here is an amazing list of axle sizes, fork tube diameters, etc.:
