WTB Ducati 851, 888 or 916 race bike. Immediate decision. Anything with history would be great.
Not to question you... but I've ridden an 851 and a 916 and they were completely different animals. Are you just looking for older Ducati's?
I believe the 851 is still floating around New England. That was a sweet bike! For the street I would take it over the 916 all day long.
I know of an 851, has almost all of the period correct trick bits... it's in boxes, was never raced so still setup for the street. Owner will not accept a lowball offer, and isn't going to assemble it AFAIK. What's your budget?
Argo Cycles has a 851/888 . They are asking big money but I bet the would deal. Not sure it's setup (race or street). But it was similar to the owners old race bike so he bought it for the office.
Check their website if interested.
I need my Duc history books... is that an SPO or a strada converted to single seat?
