Looking for some spikes tires for my dirtbike so I can race on Sunday. This is woods racing not ice, so I don't want ice screwed tires I want woods spiked tired. 21/19, if anyone has any they want to get rid of let me know! I know woodcraft had a set and by the time I really decided I wanted them they were gone.
Corey
You don't need spikes for jday. Go find the closest place that has cold cutters (in the appropriate size for what you have left for knobs) and zip them into a set of takeoffs ( if you want to keep what's on your bike for when this white junk goes away).
If you really wanna get fancy put the screws in with some sort of adhesive.
Ride, rinse, repeat.

Ya i was looking to not spend a ton of money on this as the amount of use they will see is limited to a few times a year. Chip i thought about the cold cutters thing but i really don't have the time to do all the work and install them i waited until last minute like always. I'll be calling Kevin's on lunch break and hopefully they can get me a set in the same price range as i have seen other ones. there's a guy in RI that makes them for $460 a set but he doesn't accept plastic and i don't have that much extra cash kicking around until my tax return comes back.
Corey
I feel your pain.
Each tire takes about 1:45 to screw up. Then figure in the swap time, it's a couple nights anyways.

Exactly and i have school tonight and Thursday so tomorrow and Friday night and then Saturday are my only days to get this done, I'm thinking that unless Kevins is going to give me a decent discount or someone on here comes up with a used set for me to buy that it will be out of reach for this season anyways!

After never having access to spikes until Sunday, I wish I'd never waited. Get SOMETHING, because there's 2 more winter jdays coming after this weekend.
Even if it's screws, and you can't get anything this week, put it on the agenda for next week.
If we get dumped on this weekend like they're speculating, there will be plenty of snow left for the 16th.

I'm doing the 16th. The first one is also the netra snow run enduro, so I gotta do that.
Unless it's a fucking blizzard, and then I'll drive the 20min to atwoods, as opposed to ct.

Funny story about this exact Craigslist post, i did buy those tires about a year and a half ago, i talked with the guy, they were far away, it was cheap enough to ship them so i paypal'd him the money and got the tires 3 days later, they were so dry rotted and worn that i could pull the knobs off by hand. Thank god paypal is really good and got me my money back and i shipped him the tires back. I lost $20 in the deal but that was alot better then the 125 or 150 i originally paid.

Haha, figures. Typical CL bullshit.

Bubba's in Wareham is $450/set, and he takes plastic.
Kevin's was at 20% off studded tires as of yesterday. That puts a set around $470. He's planning to increase discounts as the week goes on.
JC, mine were done by Mike from NEDB. I'm really impressed with the durability so far. I'm on my 2nd season with them. Did you get the Maxxis ITs with rally studs?

They only have 3 inches and supposedly it's still soft sand underneath that, they are saying you wouldn't even need screws at this point, I ended up putting them in just to make sure I had tractionOriginally Posted by SVRACER01

Running studs. I'd say you could run 250C which is 250 2 strokes and 4 strokes but really you should run the Open-c to be fair, then again I don't think the 250
2 and 4 strokes running together is very fair though

I've had bacon cheeseburgers for dinner for the last 2 nights. Actually, last night's was a cheeseburger club, to be technically accurate. I will run C-Vet on Sunday.
