Custom Ear Plugs @ Moto Market

I went about a month or so ago and got my custom ear plugs.

The day of the event at MotoMarket, the guy making them was missing his assistant, which really made the process slow because each person has to be seen twice. Once to get the stuff put in your ear and Once to get it removed. To expedite the process, they were curing them later and mailing them out to the customer.

My fitting went fine with no issues and I got my ear plugs right around when they were expected.

Today was my first day riding with them and I have to say they really made a difference and I missed them during the short stint I rode without them today. There's enough sound to get through I could hear the ride safety meeting this morning (as soon as I stopped chewing my gum), but definitely minimized the ambient and wind noise on the bike.

I can't compare them to other ear plugs as I just started wearing them now.

I've had them for over a year. No noticable wear and I can't imagine riding without them.

You showed these to me earlier today. They looked nifty.

Do you think these offer much more than the cheapo, $0.05/ea foamies?

My company hands those out to us like candy. I've been trying to remember to grab a set every day or two when I loose or munge up the old set.

I know that most of the cheapie ear plugs don't fit well in my ear and after a while induces pain.

The custom ones fit perfectly and were comfortable all day long.

I do have trouble fitting the cheapies, that's a good point. Usually takes me 5 or 10 tries.

Ok, so they're obviously easier to get in your ear then the cheapo foam deals. However, how hard are they to get out of your ear? I take it that one must have to really pry at them.

There are directions on how to properly seat them in your ear. To get them out, I just reverse it by pushing it forward from the back of the earplug.

Custom fit the cheapies yourself to save a few dollars. Put the cheapies in, wiggle em till your comfortable, put in a few drops of SuperGlue and your good to go.

They come out very easily. It's kind of like a twist lock deal. You give them a 1/4 twist to put them in and lock them in place, twist the opposite direction to take them out.

    usually around $60-$70

They only make them a few days out of the year. You can check the dates on the stores website or FB page.
