And that's how they lose my business. I won't pretend to be someones buddy in order to give them my money.
And I won't give them my money if someone is treated better than me, or serviced before me because they do pretend to be someones buddy. That's how Street and Comp and motorace both lost my business and Dunlop gained it.

It's all water under the bridge, and we do enter the next round-robin. Am I wrong?
Did you grit your teeth and try to look like Clint Fuckin' Eastwood?
Or did you lisp it all hangfisted like a fuckin' flower?
I'm really surprised how this thread turned out. Clearly, there are a lot of businesses out there that will go above and beyond for their customers. And we should support them. But dragging a company's name through the mud because they didn't give you something for nothing (or more accurarely, offered up something different for nothing) seems like a pretty low blow.
Congratulation, you spent a lot of money there in the past. Would it have been good business sense for them to have helped you out? Possibly. Are you entitled to something for nothing because you bought something there in the past? No. Should you make a thread that says "XXX company sucks" because they didn't give you what you wanted for nothing? I really don't see how that's reasonable. You asked them to help you, they refused (or agreed to do so, but not in the way you wanted), maybe you don't go there anymore. But you haven't lost anything, and saying the company sucks because you didn't get what you wanted seems like whining to me.
Maybe Cycles 128 deserves their reputation, I don't know never been there and probably never will. But I don't see how they deserve this thread.

far more then i want to type....please dont take what i say personally, i'm going and this from a me=cust you=vendor POV.
degs sum'd it up in one line
You said you probably wouldnt drop what you are doing to help. I can't type a post clear enough to explain how wrong that line of thought is when it comes to customer service.Having a bad attitude is the complaint here, not the fact that they couldn't come right out with a meter and check the battery right away.
it is a dealership...not a parts shop. You pay top dollar at a dealership because you expect a certain level of service. Asking a tech to take 5 mins and test a battery certainly falls within theese lines
fuck...autozone will check your battery and engine codes on your cage for FREE...i cannot beleive people are still defending this position..espcially the folks that work at other dealers....with all the dealer and website choices out there how anyone can afford to treat their customers like shit is freakin beyond me....
AutoZone?

so i should drop what im doing to help someone for free when a person is standing infront of me and im writing up a 400 service and tires? when all i would have done is ask the person who wants their battery tested for free to wait around for a little while and i will try and help them?? thats poor customer service?
Note from Degsy - I edited out the line that attributed the quote to me. it was from Big Red, not me :-)
I went into it asking for confirmation of a suspected problem. A problem they would have had the part for me to buy to fix it. My main issue was having to convince a Service person to help / the general feeling of them not wanting to be bothered that they gave off. I wasn't looking for a freebie - I was looking for a way to identify the problem then fix the problem utilizing their services or products.
As for being entitled to easy, quick help for having made past purchases there - while I don't think I'm entitled to help - I expect it based on the assumption of how businesses operate and how when you buy something they usually say - if you need anything else please come back we'd be happy to help.
You seem to be of the opinion that human beings shouldn't try to be decent and help one another and that people should not react to being treated in a way that suggests their business or needs are not appreciated or wanted.
Is complaining on a public forum about a dissatisfying experience whining? sure why not. But how do you judge what restaurants to go to or best movie theaters? - You do it based on the opinions of others. Some people will read this and react like you saying I was bitching for nothing. Others will read it and think they would rather go somewhere willing to put in the effort to get a problem solved. Either way it is simply a stated opinion - take it as you like.
I did not disrepect them or call them names. This entire thread stayed remarkably civil for a NESR thread. I would consider it a success in revealing a potenial issue in a local company's service policies.
mommy, daddy, stop fighting.
(seriously folks, we're acting like it's January here)

would I be out of hand asking for this to be locked? It's turning into a huge pissing match... The best thing about arguments is there is always two sides. Not always right and wrong, sometimes there is a gray area. Yes, I had a bad experience there too... Big deal, I bought my newest jacket at another location, no harm no foul. Nothing more to see here, move along
Guys, no more personal attacks. There will be warnings issued if there are any more.
I'm not going to lock the thread. it stays open or it is deleted.
haha, degs than can you "delete" it? I think the point has gotten across that a person was upset... maybe it IS better that its gone completely
yeah... I'm done with this thread too, it's been a shit show since the beginning.... or at least since Scottygixxer showed up and started baiting people.
And before it gets deleted I just wanna post up MY experience from yesterday.
I needed a new headlight bulb.... I mistakenly purchased an H7 when I should have gotten an H4.... I paid cash & didn't bother getting a receipt.... I went outside, realized i had the wrong bulb, went back inside, talked to a different person (Chris) but got no hassle from him.
Chris came out, looked at the bike himself, helped me remove the old bulb cuz it was a pain in the ass to take out, exchanged my H7 for an H4 & gave me the cash difference.
bing bang boom....
Moral of the story: Go to John in sales or Chris in parts for service![]()
