It looks like when he hits the straight he sits up to look behind himself or something like that and then he flips the thing. Wld crash though

I beleive it was a flux-capacitor malfunction.

My french is not so good, but I can tell you that the announcer said that he was was in first place, taking the victory. After the racer flipped, the announcer said something to the effect of a 'terrible wheelie'.

looked like he tried to do a stand up wheelie to me.
