So, grappone decided to be cool today and lay off everyone in my Mazda section of the company (except the finance guy, who quit after we left the office). Way to let me have a chance, right?
Anyway, just thought I would throw out a request for job offers in or around the Concord/Manchester area. I have something potentially lined up, but I don't know if I really want it. I would like weekends and nights free (good ol' 9-5 schedule....ish), and I don't have too many restrictions. I have done administrative work and wouldn't mind doing it again, but I do need the $$ to be enough to live on. If you could just keep your eyes and ears open for me that would be great.
Thanks, guys and girls.
And if it matters, I have been in sales for the last 4.5 years and have a B.A. in psychology from UNH.

That sucks!
Unfortunately, I can't help you, but it sounds like you have a good network of people already if you already have something potentially lined up.
Good luck... and maybe swing over to Monster. ;)

Congratulations, the sooner you got out the the car sales business the better. Most people get stuck in car sales and can't get out... your better off. Good luck finding a new job.

Well, I already had an interview this afternoon with that lined up job. I think it will work for now, but I don't think I'll like it. The guy seemed pretty impressed that I was already out interviewing. He said "If that were me, I think I'd just stay in all night." I told him that the real reason I was out was because I wanted to ride my bike to cheer myself up.
Stumpy, I don't send my resume to just anyone, I like to have an idea of the job I am potentially applying for, and I live in NH, so what do you do, and where is it located?

That sucks...I'm in outside sales, selling software to car dealers, and some guys are telling me business is 50-70% off where it should be. I've seen other stores do the same thing recently, lay people off. And not a knock on Mazda, but they're not exactly a hot product right now(sales-wise, not quality), and domestics are the worst...Honda, Toyota, and Nissan are really the three companies selling cars right now.
Have you considered outside sales in that industry? Much better schedule, and some companies pay good salaries+commissions. I wouldn't go back to a dealership unless I absolutely had to.

Sorry to hear about that MZ.. That sucks!...But on the brighter side, if you can't find another job you could always file for unemployment, take the summer off and RIDE!!! :D

Hey, isn't Parkway Cycles always looking for some "good sales people"? :)

Nevermind, just realised you are looking for something in the concord area. This would be in Auburn.
