Some AK-47 questions.
Need facts and opinions here........ I'm in the market for an AK.
What's the difference between a Yugoslavian and a Romanian one?
Is the build quality the same?
I found a Yugo one for $479 with a soft case, 4 mags and a metal underfolding stock, and a Romanian one for $389 with one mag, a factory wood stock and no case.
The Yugo one seems to have a much nicer(stainless maybe?) bolt.
If I wanted to put a different stock on, would the folding stock leave hideousness behind where it bolts through the reciever?
Any input would be quite helpful!

Some AK-47 questions.
I have a Romanian AK and have had no problems with it. They say (Who the fuck is this THEY?) the romanian ones are the poorest quality. Since AK'S cannot be imported into this country with a certain number of foreign parts you basically get the same quality because they are rebuilt with domestic parts. I hear bad things about the Yugoslavian ones. My local shop stopped buying them because every one he got didn't work properly so he sent them back. The Norinco's and the Russian ones are supposed to be the best ones.
I remember when AK-47's were $89 dollars. Thanks Bill Clinton for making a junk gun expensive.

Romanian ones are the lowest quality, but the yugo ones have problems? Damn, I'll probably be leaning towards the romanian one. Ever hear of them having a stainless bolt?

Some AK-47 questions.
my buddy had a Yugo AK and it was a pain in the ass. over heated real easy jammed more than i thought was possible for an AK. another friend had a russian one don't remember the name of the company (Sago? or something like that). that was a badass AK, never missed a beat. used to be able to get the chinese ones for 200 bucks in AZ but they were so bad the local gun shop owner would talk everyone out of it.

Some AK-47 questions.
Just put some cash down on an egyptian one tonight. Maadi manufactures it. They say it's the closest you can find to an actual original Russian unit these days. No bayonet lug:(, no flash supressor:(, no threaded barrel:(. But it's still chrome lined:)! It's a bit beat up, but I'm sure it'll work just fine. I'll post up a pic or 10 when I pick it up!
Oh, weasel, the yugo AK's don't have a chrome lined barrel and have some problems, I've read. And Saiga is the russian company making ak clones, they're tweaked though so you can't put normal AK trick parts on them.
