New Full Time Race Team Member?

Yes, it's true. I'm currently working out details with the Mrs., and I'm currently talking to a 'sponsor' that'll cover my entry fees on a per race weekend basis. And I've already got a commitment from work so that I can take Fridays off on those weekends...

Originally I was just gonna do the three races that would qualify me for the endurance races. But after those track days, I'm confident I could do good by the team...

This is something I've been thinking of doing for a while now. And all the gear purchases I've made this year (I'm working on a complete second set of gear) have been made with this in mind...:D

I thought about just filling in for Degsy during his hiatus next year, but I fear that once I start I won't wanna step aside. Especially if I beat his times...:twofinger

I'm working on a coupla things right now as far as a ride. I'm really hoping to be on a Gixxer 600 though. Time will tell, I guess...

I'm confident that I could really bring my times down with either bike. While I wasn't the fastest one out there, I'm certain I was doing decent times on my TL-R in street trim at the last track day...

Either way, I'm really looking forward to making some real progress. What I lack in speed and smoothness, I'll more than make up for with determination. And it's that determination that's gonna get my times down to the low .20's by the end of the year...

That GSXR 6 in the for sale area looks good. I don't have the cake for it now. Your'e going to be sporting the NESR Rabid Motorsports colors I assume

Okay, bitches! We're getting there. I've been 'authorized', in a sense, to get the ball rolling: IF I can work a deal on a certain bike, it's lookin' like this'll be happening. If that falls through, I have one other avenue I'll be exploring. But I'm really hoping my mojo's with me on this...

So, hopefully I'll know for certain within a coupla weeks, tops. I may even know as early as this weekend if things go really well. Wish me luck!
