Girl and I are going to Vegas for the weekend. Never been b4. Not looking to spend the bank account but want to have a good time.
Any suggestions, tips, tricks, do's and don't we should be aware of? We are staying at Ballys.

Bunny ranch?
If you end up heading to the 24 hour chapel to go before Elvis i better get a call so i can catch a quick flight.
Well, you can walk around all the Casinos/Resorts for free. And it can be mind bending just thinking about the scope and scale of the infrastructure supported by gambling!
If you want to gamble you could go to the Old Strip where you can find less expensive tables and slots. Its also kind of cool to contrast the 'Old' with the 'New'.
Would definately walk throuh Caesars (repro of Michaelangelos 'David', the Bellagio (Lots of art), Mandaly Bay, MGM Grand (Lions), and The Venetian.
If you can afford it, go see one of the Cirque de Soliel shows. We saw Ka at the MGM and it was unfreeking believable. Best show I have ever seen!
If you are only going for the weekend you will be really busy just exploring. If you have time to get out of town the Hoover Dam is less than an hour away and well worth the trip.
Have fun!
Hessonotontherighttrack.................don't be waiting by the phone.
Thanks Dave, planned on hitting the old town for the buffett at the nugget and the cheap gambling.
I'm bringing shirt and tie and we'll be hitting one 5star dinner one night. Spearmint Rhino another night. I think the Dam would be cool but I want to hit the stratosphere and ride the crazy ride.
Thanks for the tips !!!

I been there 5 times already for work this year. It is pretty fun but you need to be smart about it so you do not blow all your money
Depends on what you want.
I suck at gambling so I skip that part. You can loose way too much money quick. Last time I did bet on a sports game and that was pretty fun but it was $20 that lasted 2 hours.
If you want free drinks it is real simple. Walk up to a bar that has a machine at the bar. Put $10 in the machine and play it real slow. You can drink as much as you can as long as you put in that $10. I usually get 3-4 drinks out of my $10. Sometimes they tell you to hit ht emax bet option all the time but just ignore them. They just want you to spend more money.
The strip is cool to walk around. The guy above posted some of the well known place. Do not eat there. Way to expesive. Be smart about your meals and you can go to some awesome breakfast buffets and nice dinners. Skip the whole lunch thing as you will still be full from breakfast. The buffets are real good and real fresh where they cook what you want in front of you.
Old vegas is real fun and make sure you get there. 3 times ago they had car racing in the streets. It was so sick!!! The just put a water slide in the golden nugget that goes through a shark tank. It is real cool to see the live sharks so bring your swimmies.
Talking about swimmies the pools are a blast but go to the ones on the main strip. The hard rock cafe has the youngest chicks so go sit in the hot tub makes bubbles and order drinks. After a few drinks stretch out your foot and give the girl across the hot tub and big toe massage on her camel toe.
Night life is a rip also. There are some amazing bars. My favorite late at night is the wisky bar. Girls are wacked there taking off shirts and grabbing your girl and making out with them. There are also a bunch of other cool clubs.
Congrats on getting married.
Don't bringing any more into the Casino then you don't mind losing.. Don't start rationalizing to justify spending more, and leave any deeds and titles to property at home.. Have fun. Free drink in some places.. :hellyeah:
If you're still into the "party scene" then I can gladly assist since I go there once a year.

As you can tell by my responses, I only go to vegas to party, get drunk, meet girls, and *&+%
:stupid: Pure on Friday nights is (well atleast was the last time I was there) the place to be. Get there early though because the line gets long fast and even though the place is huge it can be tough to get in. There is also a place across the street that opens at 2am that goes till about 8am that is a pretty good late night option. My other favorite is the piano bar at New York New York for a more laid back good time. Definately spend the money and eat at one of the 5 star restaurants as they are incredible. There are also a few high end buffets that are about 35-40 dollars that are really good and have pretty much anything you could want. Other than that I would say just generally walking around and checking everything out. You won't be there long if just for the weekend so don't even try to rush and take everything in. Enjoy what you can and plan on wanting to go back. Everytime you go back it is different. I can't wait to go back!
ride the roller coaster at NY NY. shit! ride any roller coaster! i hear theres a good one on top of some needle building thing.
I plan on doing the Startosphere coaster thingy. There is also another coaster there I want to hit.
Thanks for the tips.

Take lots of money and hang out on the craps tables... at least that's what I do when I'm in Vegas.
Used to go once a month when I lived in LA.
Eat at the hotel buffets. Check out the old strip (at night). Make sure you see Bellagio and Paris hotels, they are the coolest. Take your time, see the sights, don't get too involved in the slots, they'll rob you in minutes. Cirque de soliel if you can get tickets.
thanks for the info guys. im headed there wednesday
The Hard Rock is great, but avoid it Thurs-Sat nights unless you really like Creed fans bathed in cologne (shudder). It's off strip and can take FOREVER to get a cab out when you want to get the fuck out of there (and you WILL).
Definitely check out the Wynn. That place is hott.
Watch Fear and Loathing before you go... and go get a drink at the carousel bar at CircusCircus... C'mon, man... how much for the ape?
