Just like Dirty Harry only better
I got to come home for the weekend to catch up on things. One of them was to pick up my new toys.
Top is a Ruger Super Redhawk in .44 magnum.
The second is a Ruger Super Blackhawk in .44 magnum
The third is a Super Blackhawk in .44 magnum.
I should have got a .44 magnum.

Yes very nice. I like.
I was the proud owner of one of those 500 mags for a while. Tons of fun to shoot... a little intimidating, though... and expensive as shit for the ammo (why I ended up selling it). It definitely drew some attention at an indoor range. Lots of muzzle flash.
Here it is next to a full size .45 for comparo:

I my friend let me shoot his 500. It has a bit of recoil. One of my buddies who doesn't shoot at all shot it too. Funny to watch.
S&W 500 plus

Yeah. I used to think I wanted a .500. I shot one of them and a .460. I decided I dont want either of them. Aside from the cost of ammo the recoil gets old in a hurry.
I picked up a box of .44 and it was $30.95 Looks like I will be reloading another caliber.

Re: Just like Dirty Harry only better
That Redhawk is the most accurate revolver I ever shot.
I had to get rid of it cause I developed a nasty flinch habit after putting 6,000 rounds through it. (I used to reload with a Dillon 550).
Even today I still start flinching when I am tired or not paying attention.
Best piece of advice I can give you is to not shoot 50 or a 100 rounds at a time. Vary your pistol shooting with other lighter calibers.
I do miss shooting that thing, I made some incredible shots with it.
