More Barnstead Tornado Help

A very close friend of mine is in dire straights. Due to insurance tie-ups, he CAN'T touch his damaged house 'til probably the end of the week, maybe this coming weekend. He's in the heart of the path of destruction and got hit hard and could use all the help he can get. I was able to visit him Friday morning and their house & yard are both messes...

I'll be off this coming Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday (Aug. 1st thru Aug. 4th) and hope we can get enough help to get him cleaned up as soon as the adjuster shows up. If any one is willing and can lend a hand, please post up in this thread. Chainsaws, winches, tractors, backs, WHATEVER any one can lend for a day or two will be appreciated more than any one can express...

I may actually be in Barnstead at the lake so maybe I can swing by and give a hand. Just gotta confirm that we will be in the state. I will let you know.

I'm at work all week but could be up Saturday morning.
Just let me know what kind of work I should expect (in addition to tree work, which seems obvious).

PM me with anything you may need and directions. Have Stihl will travel. Got whatever carpentry tools/knowledge you may need or want to help. Had the EF2 hit about 1/2 mile from us coming off a lake here in wolfeboro. Too close for us. Job schedule is fucked up so making time to help friday is :yesway: Lemme know.

Glad you guys made out okay!

As the time gets closer, I'll clean up the thread so we know who can do Friday, who can do Saturday. As of now, it's just looking like clean-up stuff. Due to insurance, we can't touch the stuff on the house - the pros gotta take care of that. But they've got about a dozen trees in their yard and on their woodshed...

You guys are definites, right? I've also got someone with a tractor for the day too. Not some huge construction jobby, but not a compact either. It saved our asses more than I can count this weekend. It'll be a HUGE help. I've also got a handful of guys gathered from other sites that're in. Friday's iffy for most of 'em, but we may have a couple more...

I don't start the new job til Monday so I am available to help out whenever needed. I don't have any power tools, etc. but I am not opposed to manual labor and/or being the designated beverage fetcher/store runner, multi-purpose bitch. I feel strongly compelled to help but I don't want to get in the way either. Lemme know...

i'm still there for friday. still trying to get my chain sharpened but hopefully that will be done by thursday. any need for a quad still with the tractor?

We seem to have quite a turnout for Saturday. I won't turn away the offer, but if it's a haul for you I'd completely understand if you can't make it...

If you do make it, you could expect LOTS of heavy lifting. I'm hoping to get most everything cut-up Friday and move as much as we can while we have the aid of the tractor. Not sure if we'll have the tractor Saturday, but we'll have LOTS of backs...

Anyone that does make it Saturday should plan to stick around afterwards for a little, simple cookout at Chez Stonner. Nothing fancy, just a little some-something to get our energy back...

I already picked up 5 cases of water and a coupla cases of Gatorade too. If anything, bring EMPTY coolers to put this shit in!

I'll be there. I have some hefty chain I'll bring with just in case.

I've got a decent size cooler with wheels and a handle. If I don't come up to help, anyone coming up from Mass to help out can swing by and get it or I can run it up to your place for however long you need it.
