Anyone fly United alot but not enough to earn Premier status
I have a Premier Associate thing I can give to someone.
"You may nominate a Mileage Plus® general member to Premier Associate status. Your nominee will enjoy the roomy comfort of Economy Plus seating, priority check-in and boarding and other elite privileges. "
PM me . He / she who flies the most but not enough to get it, gets it. I will need your Name and your United Mileage Plus #

PM sent, but I'm not sure if I can use it to its full advantage, so anyone that is more deserving than me feel free to grab this up. For reference, I'll be flying between Idaho and the east coast every 3 months or so for up to 2 years, but it's all on my company's dime, and I think they will be booking the tickets. Not sure if I can upgrade those tickets or not.
Re: Anyone fly United alot but not enough to earn Premier status
Can it get me my one change flight back instead of the two changes and 4 extra fucking hours They decided to add on as a bonus to me. Not to mention the charges for both the first and second bags?
Re: Anyone fly United alot but not enough to earn Premier status
Unfortunately, I'm a 1K flyer on United, so it won't do me any good.
I had to earn my status the old fashion, hard work sitting my ass on cross country flights... :poke:

o damn, nice man! This thread reminds me though...I need to call and demand more miles because they just F'd me on my last business trip and it took me all day to get on a flight from Chicago to Boston because they cancelled my shit "by accident" and tried to blame it on me.

It's happening to everyone. I got shuffled from PVD to BOS because they parked us in the middle of nowhere and bused us to the terminal. I arrived at the gate 12 minutes before the flight was supposed to push back and they gave my seat away.
So, did I win??

ya, I've had good luck with them overall...but that last trip pissed me off so bad

I've been pretty lucky with them as well. The BOS to SFO run is pretty decent.
I had a close call not mkaing my connection heading for XNA this time around, but the crew was really good at getting people in their seats so we could push back.

Congrats to 97 Blade you got it.
Re: Anyone fly United alot but not enough to earn Premier status
If you have United Miles, make sure to have some sort of account activity within any 24 month period. If you go 24 months and a day without activity, they will take your miles back.
They took 305,000 of my frequent flier miles away from me due to account inactivity for 24 months and 2 days. They would not budge on the 2 days I was over the two year limit. Fortunately, I was able to get Marriott to post Marriott points to my United account, 6 months after a stay. The points counted as activity because the stay was within the two year window and I got all my miles back (after a fight).
I had amassed over a million and a half miles with United at one time, and this is how they treated me. Dicks.

Actually to contrary belief... Airlines make money on the FF programs. They get all kinds of kickbacks from car rental, hotels, credit cards, flowers etc. to advertise their products with the airline.
Most fights only have certain seats set aside and based on the historic supply and demand for that flight is what comes available.
Most people who fly frequently use the miles for upgrades.

only a matter of time really until frequent flyer miles go away (I think). No one wants to be the first to blink though.
