Super Noob from Billerica, MA

Just gonna get this out of the way right now...

They will be up when I unpack my camera - forgive me, I just moved this past weekend.

My entire riding experience is the "10 hours" that I spent on the little bikes at the riding school...eek...(my "new" bike hasn't been delivered yet)

I just got a 96 Suzuki GSX600...it's "green" and when I say green I mean teal with yellow & purple lightning bolt looking thingies on it - not my first color choice, but I don't intend on having this bike for a long time...I just wanted something to learn on and katana's were suggested by a few friends.

I'm hoping to get some good time out riding this fall and meet some people who can help me / give me tips & pointers.

Hey Wrynne! Welcome to the forum! I’m a noob too, I’m from Tewksbury. I just got my bike last winter and passed my Rider Safety Course last June. I got a starter Suzuki as well. '92 GS500e.

thanks for the PS ~ now it all makes sense...I just live here 'cause I work here - I'm not a Billerica people...I'm West Boylston people...and I even shudder to mention that that's where I grew up. I'm off of Rt 4 a few streets down from Treble Cove Road.

I just moved here from Medford - that was an awesome place to live...

I get to spend tomorrow killing time at the RMV...once everything gets settled I'll let you all know so we can go for a ride :D

Katanas are great bikes to learn on, I learned on my bros. They're air cooled so you don't need a lot of maintenance, nice linear power curve and very forgiving. And it's a lot better than starting on a 250. :)

And it JUST got here...right with the rain :( I was hoping to get even a little time on it this afternoon...now I have it all wrapped up in tarps and hiding from the annoying hurricane.

Aaaaand I'm flying to CA first thing Monday morning & not getting back til Friday.
