First snow and here come the ice studs..err bolts:shredder:
You didn't hear it from me or anything, but it is an El-Nino year and typically there is little to no safe ice in central and southern New England during those years:wink:

Last year was shit ice in NH. I'm not buying or building tires until I know they're going to get used a lot.

Yeah the ice was weird down this way last year as well. It froze over thick but even on the coldest days, we got soft spots and ended up with water/slush on the ice.
I've got a couple thousand screws ready but I'm in no hurry to put them in yet

No problem, this setup is for woods/trail use only. Cold cutters or at least plain old slotted hex washer head sheet metal screws are what I would use if I was heading out onto the lakes.
Re: If you're gonna be stupid...
One of the worst things is there is a whole lake for everyone, and an ice fisherman has to drill his bobhole right on the edge of the track. He did, however, other than being pummelled with chip, enjoy his front row seat.
Re: If you're gonna be stupid...
BTW - That is *not* blood dripping down the side of my vise...it is just some old red paint...

Yeah, our track got holes right through the ice that would flood out some corners.
