depends if my tires come before the weekend, my rear is pretty thin and I know if I ride to RI & back I will prolly see cords

So what's the down side on that? You get the full use out of the tire and by the time you get back it will be time to "release the smoke" from the carcass...

By the way Ken didn't mention that he is going to give a talk at 11:15 that will be about riding technique and Track Day Prep

I loooked at my tire last nite and thought that maybe I would ride down on a shagged tire, but I stopped at my dealer, new tires are in, luckily, my previous inspection of the tire wasn't thorough, I already have visible ridges where the cords are, I bet that tomorrow morning 6 more miles ride to the dealer, the cords will be very visible

I'll take a photo for you when I drop it off

rear tire is a Continental Trail Attack with about 11,000 miles I put about 8500 miles on it last year, including my BBG ride out to Joplin when I did 4200 miles in 4 days (3700 highway, 500 ozark twisties) then it came off for my "winter" tires and this spring, cause it looked like I could get another 2-3k I put it back on, my prediction was about right, The Trail Attack is the first tire that I have been able to get more than 7500 miles on the rear.

I plan to do more adventure riding this summer so its getting shod with a set of TKCs

I'm in..
3000 (Already, that's good for me) mile oil change last night.

Planning to be there from 10-1. Does anyone want to cruise on down?

I have no set time, what works for you? I'm pretty much free all day. Motards or R1's?:naughty

Sigh....Motard is still in need of some fixin. Got the sprocket seals parts(only a o-ring and a small bushing??) needs a oil change and the rear tire. But the R1 is good to go. I dont think i have anything going on but I dont think it starts until later anyways. So anytime will work for me!

Yes, that works for me. I just got done cleaning the bike so i'll even be good to go earlier if that works as well?
