I'm curious how come you guys don't goto MX207 Besides the distance factor? The track is a lot more fun. Plus Crowhill doesnt have too many far reaching jumps
^ ditt.o ^ (only 25-30min for me)
mx207 rules but it sucks driving there
yeah, i'd really like to check that track out some time, Justin and Dave love it too, but 2.5+hrs one-way is tough unless it was a 2-day overnighter.
Wirelessly posted (BB Tour: BlackBerry9630/5.0.0.591 Profile/MIDP-2.1 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/105)
There's a couple of campgrounds within 15 minutes of the track. Can't remember the names right now.
I'm in for CH
Dave and I usually crash at a Marriott something-or-other. About $100/night - WELL worth it. 2 day MX207 and I'll take the comfy bed thank you very much. We would ride 10-5, then 10-2 and travel home.
Let's plan a NESR event there soon - anyone's riding level just elevates, believe me. Crow hill comparatively is like sandbox. Not that I don't have a lot of learning to do at CH, but the most disappointing part about it is the unpredictability in jump faces and overall conditions each time. I'm, uh hem, at the age where I prefer predictability and smooth riding throughout. The jumps are much, much better too. I'll jump 2-3x as far/high at MX207 than I would at CH, just because of the predictable faces. Gap jumps and doubles I wouldn't even consider at CH, I'll hit with confidence.
Just my .02
I'm in for tomorrow - looking forward to seeing you guys.
cool, see you guys there. i should arrive around 930, lower lot.. .
I will be there at 11ish
Good riding with good Friends, Progress is made on the "Flying Squirrel" Project.
agreed, great day on the Hill :hellyeah: felt much better than Thurs (although my back is junk)
goodTimes all around.. .
Phew. Nothing like a few days on a paved track to make you rusty on an MX bike. I felt like a newbie for 2 sessions. Finally got a little relaxed by the last session. Great company, great time. Good to see the squirrel flying again.

Hmmm... Got home and noticed my rear was flat... Then pulled out the road bicycle, and the rear tire had an S-curve in it... FML
Musta been. I don't remember tagging a rock, but there were some hard edged bumps for sure. I was running 12 lbs. I think I'll go up to 14 for the track...
