WTB: Concours 1k, ST1100, V-Max, etc
Looking to get my numbers back up. Seems as though I've been running out of bikes lately.
Looking for a comfortable 2-up bike to toss the old lady on the back of. Hard bags are a plus.
Not looking for something very tall as we're both shorter people. Also need something that can have a backrest on it.
V-max is in there just because it's damn cool and I could turn it into something that would work as a touring bike.
Cruiser? No thanks.
Would like to keep it under $3500.

$7,000 is his very firm, VERY FAIR bottom buck.
2008, grey, 8K miles, brand new tires. Sargent seat, bar risers, peg lowers.
He's in Lebanon NH 03766

Re: WTB: Concours 1k, ST1100, V-Max, etc
Never spend that much on a bike, ever.
Sounds like a good deal, but this is just for bike #7. If I had one, or two, or ever 4 bikes, $7k would be a no brainer for that thing. But I have a whole slew of these things, each on with a specialization. Need to keep it somewhat cheap as I'm also building a place to keep these pigs this summer. Besides, can't ruin my crappy-bike-hoarder title here on NESR.

Looked at that Concours in Marshfield last night. Thing was mint, but guy wanted too much. I offered what I could (well over KBB dealer retail), but he was insistent on getting 30% more than the bike is worth, even in that shape. Oh well, the search continues.

Unfortunately, with all the nice weather were having, there is a huge demand for bikes atm. Bike owners know this, so they're charging premium for their machines, if one person walks, odds are, someone else will buy it soon after.
Clayton, how urgently do you need a touring rig? If you wait until, like October or November, you could probably get one for cheap.

No rush at all, but I'd like to get some use out of it this summer.
I'll just keep my eyes open, that's all.

Have you gone on craigslist lately? The market is saturated with used bikes for sale. There are over 200 postings a day in my area.

If you've not ridden a c10 yet ya might want to try it out first. I've got a 30" inseam and I'm more afraid at 5mph than 100 on this bike if ya know what I mean. If you want to ride one before you buy let me know.

I've sat on one. Like to try one, but I don't need to. If you want to meet up some time and try a ZRX out, we could swap for a few miles.
I ride a KLR650, stock height.
I ride a ZRX1200, stock height. It weighs about 50lbs less than the Connie.
Not concerned in the least about being able to handle it. With a passenger that may change though.

Re: WTB: Concours 1k, ST1100, V-Max, etc
No question you can handle it. I'm just sayin' it can be a bit of a chore in
traffic and low speed stuff. Two up loaded It'll keep ya on your toes. Bring your passenger for a two up trial. I had a zrx1100 for 10yrs but never got to ride a 12....could be fun....

Re: WTB: Concours 1k, ST1100, V-Max, etc
12 isn't too much different, just a bit more torque.
Thanks for the offer, it is appreciated. I'll keep it in mind the next decent weekend we get.
