Always make sure your zippers are all the way down on one side. Leave them at the top and the wind tends to open them up.
Yup. Total slow brain moment. I always leave them to one side but I was in a rush to get out this morning and now I am laptop and loafer-less.
Made it all the way to Boston and back on the KLR Saturday with my tankbag strapped to the rear rack.
Put the milk crate back on the KLR yesterday morning. Uneasy feeling knowing your shit is just floppin around where you can't see. Thought I had lost it a couple times.
Sucks about the laptop, but now I finally figured out why I see so many random pairs of shoes in the road.
Almost happened to me but I noticed it before by lappy rode the blacktop. That's when I bought my Burton photographer bag. Has a fat waist band and a chest strap. Not to mention the main pouch opens towards your back. Shit stays put lol.
Try a new hard drive. Head may have just crashed into the platter.
I lost a cellphone once :(
I forgot to check the zipper once. I didn't lose anything, just my dignity.
I lost an overnight worth of clothes on 95 through providence. Definitely only make that mistake once...
Made that mistake before. I carry a cotter pin in my jacket pocket that I put through the two zippers on my backpack. Having it there reminds me to double check my bag and keeps it closed.
