dropbox for file store & share & sync
So, if you have need to use files from multiple locations, or share files with friends or co-workers and want an easy solution, Dropbox may be what you are looking for. It is an app you run on your PC or mac or iPhone, or Android device that allows you access to sync'ed files from all devices and allows you to roll back to previous versions in case of an accidental erasure/corruption etc.
use this link to join and we'll each get an extra 250mb chunk of space to use for free..

thank you and enjoy
Re: dropbox for file store & share & sync
sounds similar to mobilme that apple currently uses, and the icloud that they are developing and rolling out this fall.
I used mobilme for that because it has a lot of great features, which include the tracking of my devices should they ever get stolen.
Re: dropbox for file store & share & sync
nice I already have 9.75 GB and every so often i get another email that another friend signed up. I spammed my entire Gmail address book about 2 years ago and they are still coming in lol.
I love DropBox and if you don't already have it, get it and check it out and use the link above so that Cerberus can also benefit. What's the benefit of you using that link? I think you also get extra storage space from using a referral link also.
Re: dropbox for file store & share & sync
what I like about Dropbox is the fact that it works on ALL 3 major OS's Mac, Linux, Winblows

thats cool, but this is more intended to be platform independent..

Re: dropbox for file store & share & sync
There is a Google Docs app now so I use that for the most part.
Re: dropbox for file store & share & sync

You can store whatever arbitrary files you want in GDocs now.
Re: dropbox for file store & share & sync
oh that i was unaware of :) nice
Re: dropbox for file store & share & sync
I have Dropbox, but I've been told Windows Sync is better. I guess it offers more free space initially, plus unlike Dropbox, you can sync anything in any location rather than just one specific folder.
Re: dropbox for file store & share & sync
I've been using Dropbox for years and love it. I've heard SugarSync is better on features, but I love the simplicity of Dropbox, and the number of supported platforms. Plus I have 20GB of space after maxing out referrals and whatnot :D
Re: dropbox for file store & share & sync
I've used Dropbox for awhile also.
The android app is excellent.

Windows Sync HAHAHA
sorry am anti-Microsoft :)
That is platform dependent where Dropbox is platform independent
