Help with lifting front of Duc 999
Friend has 2003 999 with an oscentric front rake adjustment. I have not seen it , but he does do most of the mechanical work himself , so he is mechanicaly inclined, and trust his judgment.
He bought a pitbull front tripple stand, they sold him a pin with it. His bike does not have a a place for a pin. From what he says they only made this front rake adjustment for a few yrs , then ducati did away with it. And the next yer was a 1098 with a traditional front tripple where a pin style could be used .
My question is does anyone have any experiance with this style front tripple, and what atachment can you get , and wher or how does it hook on ?
Or did he just miss something ?
He did look and call around , but they want to sell him the pin that he already has.
I didn't mention he bought the bitbull triple stand and the pin they said will work when he bought the bike yrs ago.
Thanks Ray

This is the type of stand I've seen for Duc's w/o a hole in the stem:

Pitbull does sell this type but I couldn't find a pic on their site.

Correct, Pitbull has a plate that fits the bottom tripple in place of a pin.

Re: Help with lifting front of Duc 999
The older 748/916/998 fronts used that claw to lift from the lower triple.
