2001 F-150
just bought one, 5.4L V8, 7700 series, CNG, 73k miles
(outside of CNG) any problems I should know of?
I read about spark plugs stripping threads, they're replaced. I'm grabbing the service records from the shop that did the maintenance, and I plan on doing all the regularly scheduled maintenance myself. Also, since CNG is somewhat rare, there are only a few mechanics, and I found the best one to help inspect the CNG components.I also want to do an alignment and tire rotation right now to keep those mud terrains from prematurely wearing out
oh yeah, it's huge:

so when any of you nesrians visit socal and want to haul some ATV's out to the desert, PM me and I've got a truck for you to use instead of renting one (and w' CNG, it's $1.90-$2.70/gallon!) :hellyeah:

Re: 2001 F-150
Around here with all the rust you commonly see the exhaust manifolds rot holes in them.
Obviously this is a pain in the ass when it happens because you will spend a whole day drilling out all of the broken rusted bolts.

Rust is the least of the worries living in socal...

Re: 2001 F-150
You should be happy the plugs have already been changed. The ones I did on ours were the most difficult, ill-conceived design that I've experienced. Oh, and when you start to feel like the transmission is slipping around 1800-2200 rpms, it is one of the coil packs. Never know which one though....

Keen an eye on the ball joints and the rest of the front end.
