fzr600 owners? - found a rear 18" tire in MA
NOT MINE...was doing the usual fleabay search for FZR600 tires and came across this:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/DUNLOP-Low-P...b96a27&vxp=mtr
new, dunlop 140/60zr18 rear tire in Maynard MA for $82
I see the word "sport" on there, so I'd guess it's a sportmax (which were reportedly pretty poor tires), but with the weird ass 18" rear rim, your options are pretty much limited to this, the shinko podium, or going to 150/60zr18 rear (as a bridgestone bt014)

Pirelli has one too (Super Dragon??). I had them on my track bike and quickly realized it was not going to work. Too hard compound, took about 6 of the 8 laps to heat up and after several tire spins, not much confidence. Retro fitted an F2 wheel, went with Michelin Power Ones - never looked back. May be a good road tire - don't know. Weren't terribly expensive either.

hard compound 18"? hmm...would that last long for commuting?
if so - that might be a good option for me. I keep running BT014's, but since they're soft and I just commute, I wear through them fairly quickly in the middle
but IIRC, I think I might've run the pirelli in a 150/70-18...and I found it was pretty hard compound too. Since it didn't fit right on the oem rim size, I had a tough time leaning it into turns...wear wise, I don't remember how long it went though

I think I used the 140 tire. Sorry, forgot to factor in if for street or track use. I would not recommend track. Never used on street.
