Re: Toys for tots trail ride 11/17:
Hoping to drag my son down.

Re: Toys for tots trail ride 11/17:
I should be in. The wifey might come and grass track with the TTR. She doesn't know that yet though.

Re: Toys for tots trail ride 11/17:
Had a lot of fun doing this last year but I'm pretty sure the KTM is done for the season. Puking gear oil out around the primary sprocket.

That's an easy fix. Usually just one seal and a ring. It takes 15 minutes.

Re: Toys for tots trail ride 11/17:
Yeah I did that, didn't last too long. I think the outer one is more of a secondary seal, or dirt seal. I probably need the inner one. I need to split the cases to do the bottom end this winter anyway, so no biggy. Although I'd love to squeeze one more good ride in before the season ends....

Re: Toys for tots trail ride 11/17:
That's a bummer. Just use one of Scottie's 2030505201003 bikes!
Or ride my 300 so I have an excuse to just grill and chill.

Re: Toys for tots trail ride 11/17:
If we drove down in the morning, is there a registration or start time?
-
Re: Toys for tots trail ride 11/17:
Sign up starts at 8, ride at 9.
Ride at your leisure after that.
-
Re: Toys for tots trail ride 11/17:
What do I need for this? All I have is a dirtbike registered to someone else. No gear no nothing.
-
Re: Toys for tots trail ride 11/17:
Bike, (helmet), 2 toys, and $5 parking donation (or more)
There WILL be woodsy racer cats out there, just move over and let them by. Point to the area you'd like them to pass in. It should be done without pulling over and stopping.
-
Re: Toys for tots trail ride 11/17:
I'm taking all my dirt bikes and going home!

Helmet, goggles, and dirty gloves are probably necessary. Wear some sturdy boots if you don't have dirty boots.

Re: Toys for tots trail ride 11/17:
I have Oxtar boots size 11 and an HJC helmet size M, both free for the taking.

Pretty sure he's got them pimped out already. Maybe I'll just take the kids CR85?!

Re: Toys for tots trail ride 11/17:
We probably can't get there until around 10 am. That OK?
Can my son ride the grass loop by himself? He's 10, been through the MSF course and ridden a few times.

Re: Toys for tots trail ride 11/17:
That's fine and yes. There'll be some adults circulating making sure nobody is hurt and/or acting the fool, I think.
-
Re: Toys for tots trail ride 11/17:
Eff it, I'm in. I filled the gear box and it doesn't seem to be leaking that bad, I'll just bring some oil with me and check it frequently. Bringing the kid on his 85 too. Braap!

Re: Toys for tots trail ride 11/17:
Very bumbed. Went to load the van and his XR100R is smoking. Not bad, but not good. May only need rings or top end work, but a no go for tomorrow.

Re: Toys for tots trail ride 11/17:
That's too bad, wish I had a small bike to loan out. I'll be showing up after breakfast around 0930 or so.
