Verizon should only be able to take verizon only... I think the only exception might be certain iPhone 5 but even then I think you had to do other things to get data to work properly.
I've been debating selling my wife's iphone 4s from verizon, but was probably going to ask a lot higher, hers is a 32 or 64 gb one and fetched around $250.
