What a let down. Thought that thread would carry us into March

Re: WTF happened to the FAST, under 40, Litre bike crew?!?
Well NESR, you really messed up! Degsy was right, that post had thread-of-the-year potential. Some of you went too fast and too far beyond subtle sarcasm and ball breaking, and allowed him to catch on. Shame on you. Let's learn from this.

Re: WTF happened to the FAST, under 40, Litre bike crew?!?
I just found it today after he deleted the threads.
You guys suck, I wanted to play, too. :sad2:

Well, we know where he lives. Should be easy to find the place with all the liter bikes lined up out front. Just follow the smell of couscous.

First of all, something you probably don't know about winter here in New England being from Arizona. Bikers get miserable. So they go onto internet forums and break balls until the nice weather arrives.
Secondly, claiming that you are wicked fast and don't want anyone but fast people isn't the best way to make friends and influence people. Virtually everyone on here has the ability to ride way faster on the street than is in the realm of "reasonable speeding". In fact, a bunch of those guys are in their 60's and lead big group rides all the time (DucDave, amiright?). Some are professional racers. Some just are really fast street guys. But you'll find the faster ones are never the ones to self label. Most new people that come on here claiming to be super fast usually end up getting in over their heads on their first big group ride when they get put up against some honestly fast guys. Ego kills, man. Best way is to accept that you may be fast, but there is always someone (and a lot of people usually) who are faster.
Thirdly, If you are looking to do it as a social type thing, cool. But trying being inclusive. If it pisses you off that people here are busting your balls, try inviting anyone and everyone to your ride, then split the ride up into fast lead guys, intermediate, slower guys, etc. It is proven to keep everyone happy. And you know how slow people get faster? Riding with better riders.....
Finally, you are local (somewhat) to me. If you get something going where you end up in Peterborough or Keene one night of the week, let me know. I'll gladly meet up with you and show you some fun roads you may not of known about.

thanks for the info, I have been riding with a lot of new people so when I said " fast " I should have said expierenced, I didn't realize people were going to blow up on the fact I wanted to ride with other people that know how to handle a machine. I ride route 9 daily so I'm around
Thanks for the tip on how "forum guys" act cause I've even riding my whole life and suffered winter months and still have decency.

Re: WTF happened to the FAST, under 40, Litre bike crew?!?
Do you walk into a bar and exclaim "HEY, I'M PUTTIN TOGETHER A PARTY NEXT DOOR, ONLY HOT CHICKS COME OVER, LATER BITCHES" and expect everyone to like you?
Bring decency, get decency. It's simple.
I'd recommend joining in on one of the group rides here in the spring. Then you can privately pick and choose which riders you think you may want to ride with in the future and invite them outside of a public realm. Super simple social skills, dude.

You forgot to mention everyone has a master's degree in "spelling" on this forum (yes, that is a real degree lol) and just salivate at the chance to correct/make fun of your blunder.

Maybe meet up with these guys:
http://www.nestreetriders.com/forum/...des-87381.html
Not dangerously fast, but fast enough and definitely a good group of guys. They will make you wear gear, though.
And stop over to the track sometime this summer. A bunch of us race.
