Re: Triumph Tiger 800 ABS
BMW's are nice, Triumphs are betterer (says the guy who has tons of BMW stuff hanging on the walls)
Re: Triumph Tiger 800 ABS
Nice bike. Very tempted.
Has it had the 24k service?
x
Re: Triumph Tiger 800 ABS
The service schedule is a little off due to how the bike was used. The last trip was 5k long for example, so the 24k would have been due mid trip, hardly ideal when you're in the middle of nowhere.
The forks were refreshed just prior to the trip and the engine oil and filter was just changed prior to winter storage. It has maybe 30 miles on it now.
The bike will be going to the Smokies next month if it doesn't sell so whatever else it needs will be handled in the immediate future. The buyer won't have to worry about maintenance for a while.
Re: Triumph Tiger 800 ABS
Adding the beak really makes it look right. I never understood the looks of the stock roadies. Good luck!

Thanks. I hated the stock look. I understand going for accessory sales but as you said, the beak should have been standard. It really does complete it.

Better to ask for forgiveness than for permission.

Gino, it's unimpressive in the engine department, but overall a better bike than many ADV's I tried.
If I was on the market for "do it all" ADV type bike Tiger800 is #1 pick for me, I have tried several of them, "regular" and XC models, alone and 2 up, long rides paved and dirt/sand, absolutely love it, but it's not gonna pull your arms out accelerating like KTM1290, it just goes, flat torque curve, smooth, fuel efficient... just love them!
Re: Triumph Tiger 800 ABS
You want to trade for a loaded 2007 FZ6?
No? Didn't think so, but figured I'd try.

Ironically there's a 2007 FZ6 in my garage right now.
Re: Triumph Tiger 800 ABS
Hey Mark how are you liking that Madstad windshield? I'm currently organizing a group buy on Advrider for both the KTM 1190/1290 and the Triumph Tigers. I'm indecisive on getting the 18" or the 20" for my 1190-S. What tint did you go with?

I like the screen a lot. It's 's kind of a barn door but it serves its purpose for long days and you can easily tilt it way back if you want airflow.
I have the 18" inch version; I think it's the light smoke.
Re: Triumph Tiger 800 ABS
Bump.
Bike just got new plugs, air filter and coolant swap again. Valve check shows still in spec this time.
New chain and sprockets going on soon as well.
